Ford sell the Parcel shelf strings, I bought some for my last Mondeo.

Only a few quid each, you could buy a load and whack them on ebay as they seem to go for loads on there.

I just contacted my local dealer and they said they were £6.50 odd EACH ?

Also, what are the best things to use in the home to remove the Radio so I can get the s/n for it to get a new key code?

Coat hanger?

Yep, that's what I paid but it's still cheaper than ebay prices.

Coat Hanger is the way forward, Snip a bit off around 12 inches long and put two bends in it. Obviously so you end up with an n shaped piece of metal that will fit in both the holes at the same time.

Do each side at a time.

The proper removal tools are only about £2 mind if you cannot be bothered with the hassle.

I dont have a wire coat hanger or 2 of the right sized screw drivers.

Contacted my local Ford dealer, the proper removal tools are 59 pence each - BARGAIN.

Picking them up tomorrow along with the parcel shelf strings.

Have found a website where I can get a Code for my stereo (not provided with the car) for £5, all I need is the s/n of the radio.

Any other way of getting the codes?

HELP NEEDED.

Ive managed to get a code for my Ford 6000CD although no Radio :(

On looking at the back of the unit, there are 2 cables connected. Should there be a third for the aerial?

I cannot see a loose cable anywhere?

HELP

Thanks.

Anyone able to provide pics of what it should look like with the aerial connected?

you should have to big rectangle blocks for the power and speakers If you have the audio remote control you have a small square block aswell the ariel should be a round connector on it's own it may have been pushed right back.

All the Mondeos I have played with have had a green aerial cable.

It goes from the aerial, under the roof lining, down the drivers side A pillar (under the cover), down behind the dash into the radio.

If you take the drivers side a pillar off.

To do this remove the thin piece of L shapes plastic around the bottom and then carefully pull the plastic A pillar cover away. Be careful though as it can split/crack the plastic mounts.

There should be a green aerial cable behind the cover, if so then good and follow it down behind the dash to find the end.

To refit the cover clip it all back on then the L shaped piece hooks at the back (bottom of windscreen) area and there is a rubber plug the other end which you squeeze into a hole.
