hi - nothing seems to be working, i removed all cards and then just put them all in again and somehow that seems to have solved it :D on with the benchmarks :D

ok scratch that im getting nvlddmkm BSOD every 5 seconds now lol, its since i set the RAM to run at the correct speed as the mobo puts it auto on 1066 rather than 1800...

ok everything is sweet now, the BSOD's were caused by the RAM voltages not the graphics cards :P thanks for everyones spport, it is becoming an awesome rig, need to get the whole thing watercooled next, benchmarks are coming soon i promise :D

What case was that Turbo and how much was it? can't seem to find it anywhere in this thread, sorry if i've missed it.

Great pc too, you lucky bast...:D

the first one was the Silverstone TJ09, the second was the Antec 900 and the last one is the HUGE Lian Li PC-P80

Hope this helps mate

Just to keep you all updated... as soon as i got everything running i had a lot of issues with the Master Boot Record, cut a long story short, yet again it seems the SSD's are faulty, im now using my WD Raptor instead which is currently running ok, will post benchmarks as soon as poss.

Cheers,
TD

ok... still getting NVLDDMKM.SYS BSOD's and freezes ever 5 seconds... have tried each graphics card individually and SLI and also TRI SLI, i have also tried each card seperately in each of the PCIE slots on the mobo and no matter what i do i still get these freakin BSOD's :(

Im guessing its a common issue seeing as there is this site http://www.nvlddmkm.com/

Have also tried the majority of the fixes on there and non of these seem to be working...

Please help ! What do you guys reckon ? RMA all 3 cards for a refund or maybe the motherboard ? Im going to have to send the 2 SSD's back anyways so i may aswell post it all in one go...

Im so frustrated lol its taken over a week and i have pretty much got no where :(

Any advice/suggestions are greatly appreciated :)

thanks mate, was thinking of that but then that would defeat the point of buying the bigger case too lol, also i think that its the graphics cards and vista that have a problem so not too sure what else i could do... maybe 2 x4870X2 ...

I had the same problem - after spending forever trying everything...like resintalling the drivers - disabling UAC etc etc....I found out that Vista was the missing link.

When I reverted back to XP everything worked again.

I suggest giving the OS another fresh install, if that fails, run XP instead - that should solve the bsod

p.s ignore these people who are making silly comments

thanks mate, yeah i agree it is most definately vista which is causing the issue but i dont want to go back to xp as i bought a legit copy of vista 64 lol so that would be a waste, ah well i guess its either roll back to xp and have nvidia or get ati and stick with vista, although i know ati have the same issue also... www.nvlddmkm.com helped quite a bit at least and knowing that im not alone helps lol thanks for your support mate.

People on this forum posting stupid unhelpful comments make me laugh as it just becomes obvious you are jealous plain and simple and also that you did not read my post stating that i get BSOD's with 1 card let alone 3 so saying that its my fault for expecting too much and trying to run TRI SLI is just stupid.

Anyways thats enough of that, thanks to everyone else for their advice and support ill have a sleep on it and hopefully have a better idea of what im going to do tomorrow.

To be fair you were warned against building this silly willy-waving rig early on, and went ahead anyway, then you were warned againsTR-SLI and went ahead anyway, you've already had to buy a new case and quelle surprise TRI-SLI isn't working and you're getting BSODS....

A fool and his money are soon parted...

Dude srsly get a life lol and stop using the same quote "A fool and his money are soon parted..."

P.S ill be tuning into the antiques roadshow again this week with hopes of seeing your rig again.

Hey Turboduck,

Sorry to hear about your issues, don't give up mate I'm sure with a little patience some help and assistance your rig will be running smoothly.

I think you mentioned you were on the 182.x series Nvidia drivers? it maybe worth downgrading to an earlier version? There is normally some good advice and help on the nvidia forums. I have been lurking there for awhile as I am testing VDPAU on my media centre box (running linux and mythtv). And there is normally posts directly from the nvidia driver developers. You might get some better help and guidance by posting there as I'm sure they will be interested in your setup.

Here is a thread I noticed describing the dll problem your having and latest post was someone getting multiple BSOD's after upgrading to latest driver.

Let us know how you get one fella - don't give up ;)

Thanks for your help dude appreciate it I'll check this out some more later today when I get in from work, I don't want to give up as this is what its all about :D I enjoy all the hassle as it all becomes worth it when u have a kick ass rig, if it all fit together first time it wouldn't be challengng or any fun :P

Although the longer I faff around I feel the harder it will be to get a refund that is my only concern.

Thanks again dude

1. At least my rig works!!! :D

2. I haven't just wasted over a grand on cases that aren't big enough for silly-Tri-Sli, and in general completely OTT hardware becuase i want an e-peen rig! :D

3. At least when i built my rig i knew what i was doing, and i researched the parts, and got the best prices :D

4. Why would anyone be jealous of a fool who wastes money like a drunken sailor, patently doesn't know what he's doing, doesn't have a set-up that works, and has ignored all the advice given to him and ended a week later with BSOD's he has no idea how to fix! :D ??????????

Anyone with any PC building nouse would have made sure the case he inteded to buy would be big enough to accomodate TRI-SLI - that's rig 101 son, - "will my case be large enough for my proposed GPU set-up?"

"Simples" ;)

I'll be tuning in this week to see if you have a rig that works after spending over 2K.

:D

Dude you crack me up :D i mean seriously you make me laugh, get a life dude instead of trying to put other people down for no reason other than to make your own stupid existence seem worthwile.

Thanks for your comments though they are a great help...

Turbo, think you were pushing it a bit too far with all of this equipment and then not knowing 100% what you were doing.

You could have spent a lot less and achieved an amazing working high end rig.

At least you have your massive epeen.

Pictures look nice, shame you're struggling to get things to work.

And Formatuk, don't be so rude.
You mean if it wasn't for guys not knowing what they were doing ?
I'm all for amazing rigs pushing boundries, but this isn't pushing anything, this is a person with more money then sense.

Everyone is able to voice their opinions on this mature forum, if you want to use capitals and tell people to "STFU" you belong in another more immature forum.

im not fussed about the size of my epeen, i spend my money on something that i enjoy doing, i never claimed to be an amazing rig builder or anything like that, i simply spent my hard earned money on something i like to do and then thought i would share it with people on this forum and seeing as this post genereated quite a lot of interest i decided to carry on and post a build log etc, your right im not %100 sure what im doing but who cares its not your money and if im having fun while im learning what the hell does it matter.

and as for spending less money on a rig that is just as good, i am aware of this... but i wanted to spend 2.5k and see what i could get for that price.

Thinking of closing this thread to be honest, its just becoming fuel for peoples envy and jealousy.

Thanks to all who actually helped or at least tried to.

TD
