My Photographs

I liked the nikon 1.8g, even though it had a rather "clinical" appearance to the photographs with average bokeh. The 1.4g was terrible though. Probably the worst lens I've ever owned.

Yeah, I think the 50mm 1.8 G is clearly the best for the money. My final Nikon FX lens setup will probably consist of a wide prime either 14mm, 20mm 2.8 or 28mm 1.8 along with a Sigma 35mm and a 50mm 1.8 G.

I quite fancied the 28 1.8g as well when I was a Nikon shooter. Might get something similar for my leica as I enjoy wide lenses in this range. Love the perspective from the 35mm focal length especially.

It wasn't raining tonight I decided to go out and try star shooting. Unfortunately it was the worst time of the month for it, full moon. Although I can tell that when I get the a decent wide angle this camera will be a monster for night shooting, such clean high ISO and nice colours!

Nice shots. I could do with going full frame Nikon myself.
254 something magical :)
255 maybe better as horizontal?
258 composition, lens aberration, tree too dominant + deer in middle
my opinions

Thanks, I think you're probably right about the 255 and 258 but hey, I can't control deer :)

Really enjoying the D700 so far, the files are lovely especially when you get that killer light after a storm like this.

Sunset and deer and stuff. You can see the vignette from using the 35mm 1.8 DX on full frame here. At the time, I didn't realise it nearly disappears at around f/4.
