My Photographs

I tend to quite a lot when I want the shallow DoF to show. My D700 has about 10 mins battery life in live view though so it can be quite difficult!

287 is a shot you dont see everyday, especially at that F stop. Nicely done.

Not a fan of 290 though mate as the lens flare is brutal! Plus I think the bokehed black line is really distracting. Which setup are you using now btw?

291 is back on form though with nice soft tones.
 
Thanks for the critique, James. 287 was quite hard to get, I was try to manual focus at first but the live view on my D700 is just atrocious, in the end the auto focus managed to hit the bugs dead on :)
 
I have to say i do like that processing style that you use on your photos, perhaps not so much on the last couple of images you posted but there's been some superb landscape photos posted. :)
 
295, is that smoke or some distant bokehed object on the right side? Noticed it first, then saw that theres actually an in focus plant on the left lol.

294 is a cracker though, I'd be very happy with that.
 
I think it was more plants, but very close to the camera.

I liked the light on 294, it was in a big manison in the countryside. Couldn't quite get the perfect shot as the D700 isn't exactly stealthy!
 
You've taken some really good stuff a lot of simple compositions nicely progressed that are appealing and just seem to work. I need to make the time to spend with my camera bettween holidays!
 
Thanks Alex. I take most of my stuff at weekends during golden hour when the light is nice, or blue hour just after. I tend to take a lot all at once because I have quite a commute for work during the week so don't get the time.
