To be honest, the worst thing about the PS3 controllers is the triggers. Now that I have fitted 'real triggers' to my DS3 I can actually use it without getting cramp. It's still not a patch on the 360 controller, but it's perfectly usable

Balls. I have big hands (I'm 6'2" and all in proportion) and I still prefer the PS pad over 360's.
But surely you have the opposite gripe with the PS3 pad?! That when you're playing a game like crackdown your fingers are in the wrong place? My biggest gripe with the 360 controller, and I know I go against the grain here, is the position of the left analogue stick. I just prefer them both symetrical like on the PS one. For games like crackdown etc where I have one thumb on the left stick and the other poised over the buttons it's great but for FPS games it just doesn't feel right having my thimbs at different angles on the controller!!!
The people that are getting cramps off a DS3 simply dont use it enough imo, like I use to get cramps on the 360 pad and my fingers use to get crushed on the battery pack when I first got it, that goes after you start using it regularly. Ive been using the PS pad since the PS1 days so I find the 10 years of use generally outweighs it fitting slightly better in your hand + the analogue stick placement feels much better next to each other for me. Its weird though as I do prefer the 360 pad for racing games but for FPS I prefer the DS3. Also Skate and FIFA feel sooooooooo much better with a DS3 pad.
lol so not true.
lol so not true.
Riiiiight.
Well who says fire should be L2 & R2 anyway? Why arent LB and RB fire? Maybe because theyre just as bad as the PS3 triggers? I dont really see it as a law myself + its actually easier to cover all the shoulder buttons as your other fingers are actually over them.
Its completely subjective and Im pretty sure not everyone in the world prefers the 360 pad, but you get a lot of people that think they do.![]()
Problem is, the Dualshock was effectively designed 7 years ago or something.
anyway wasnt the xbox pad a rush job after they realised the massive dinnerplate sized pad was too big for most gamers ? and why is it so horribly heavy ?
