My SLK LPG Converted

I was going to ask, as I heard the opposite. Something about the fuel lubricating all the vital bits?

Its high octane rating enables it to mix better with air and to burn more completely than does gasoline, generating less carbon. With less carbon buildup, spark plugs often last longer and oil changes are needed less frequently.

Because it burns in the engine in the gaseous phase, propane results in less corrosion and engine wear than does gasoline.

Can't find the article about the Oz haulage firm. It was about 7 yrs ago when I looked into it.

Nobody buys an SLK to save money so he is doing it to get a decent performance to economy ratio. The 200 isn't that much more economical than a 350 but is considerably slower. Therefore the relative benefits of conversion are greater on a 350.

If it was purely about saving money he would have bought a diesel Seat.

You kinda make a lot of assumptions to make your argument more valid. He might not be fussed by the extra power. He might not have wanted to afford the 350 over the 200. He might want a SLK just because it looks alright. Nothing to do with performance. An SLK isn't exactly the same as a diesel Seat.

It doesn't have to be a better relative saving to make more sense. It's an unusual one to LPG, but that's why this thread is here I guess.

All the Germans cars converted to lpg don't have a valve kit saver. All the Asian cars converted to lpg have one. I ask the mechanic and he said that i don't need such a thing on my car.

I use 'might' and am a lot more cautious in my arguments than you.

Phrases such as that drive my argumentative-goit sensor right to the top. :p

I have done 1050 mile ( one week the car was in garage for the break job )and i have to go for the first 1000 miles service.
