That's ZMA, all ingredients have to, by law, be listed.

There's nothing else in there, not sure why anyone would think buying the individual components would not be the same

It's a bit like the protein blend that companies like Met-RX have, it's just a ratio of soy/casein/egg/whey given a fancy name and a trademark to sound unique.

Exactly. I think we all agree apart from Chong!

Ok, after sliding off topic slightly..... i received my pricematched unflavoured 10lb tub of whey yesterday.

Tried it and ...............damn thats good. It mixes brilliantly in a handshaker (never mind blender) and tasted just like milk to me. So adding to a bit of porridge is gonna be my lunch today.

Well impressed!

Yeah it's great stuff. Once you get over the mental hurdle of thinking it must somehow be inferior to all the other powders out there and you actually try it, you realize it's most likely the best! There's no going back now :)

(just don't go working out how much you've spent on supplements in the past.... it's not nice :D)

Lol, dude, i aint got the money a lot of you guys have. Some folk spend an obscene amount on supps. just hope it works for them.

btw....as you're here CW, have you tried the lquid egg whites? If so, what do you reckon to em? Worth it?

Was thinking, general whey powders, our bodies don't really assimilate a approx. 60% of it, and seeing as egg protein is 100% BV, wondering whether its worth it for the 3g out of 30g that is absorbable, against say 10g out of 30g for whey powder.

What do you think?

I've got the liquid egg whites, its cheaper, easyer and safer then normal eggs, so its all good, make sure you get the dispenser, or it gets messy!

How do you eat them?

Yeah the liquid egg whites are great. You can just add them to a shake straight from the fridge with no worries at all, they're the greatest source of protein possible, as you already seem to know ;)

Haven't been buying them myself, I just eat 4-5 full eggs daily. The whey is so cheap it would cost a lot more to replace it with just egg whites, as I seem to be doing well enough I stay as I am.

Just throw them straight into a shake, they're tasteless and 100% guaranteed safe ;)

Totally tasteless? I'm not a fan of eggs at all but envy those who can eat them. I think i get too much of my protein intake from powders so would like to add something like egg whites to my diet.

I think so yes. You could always try it yourself, seperate the yolk and see how you find it before you go buying LEW? The only thing I think of that someone wouldn't like them is the slimy feeling... but if you but it in a shaker and mix it well enough it's impossible to tell there's egg whites in it :)

Might try a seperated egg with some whey and oats.........wish me luck! :(

Teaspoons in a pint? Whats this crazy jibba jabba you talking about?!!? ;)

Post-workout i have 40gms whey, 40gms carbs (and a couple of gms of glucosamine) in ~200mls of water! Mmmmmm bland! :D

im not that into my gym that i have measuring stuff etc... and theres no instructions with the whey. :p

You don't have a set of scales at home?

I would guess that 1 heaped teaspoon is about 5gms. I'd get the table spoon out and stick 3-4 in a pint :D

At 10gms per day that 4.5kgs tub of whey is gonna last you well over a year!!

heaped teaspoon = approx 6gms
heaped tablespoon = approx 14gms

Hope that helps

I got my whey yesterday and mixed some in with my readybreck :D , tasted like creamy readybreck which is great. What i wanted to ask is would heating the oats up degrade the protein?. I also put a scoop of mammoth 2500 chock flavour into the reaybreck to give it some taste and an extra 250 calories.
