Name this... whatever it is

FWIW I feed my dogs and cat on a raw food diet. The frozen beef chunks I buy to supplement their diet are like palm-sized lumps of steak, but that ALL have those very same 'pointy clawy things' around them. I'm not sure what part of the cow it's from, but I imagine something to do with a part of one of the stomachs or some weird meaty part of the body.

I know this is vague, and not very reassuring, but it likely IS beef - just a real cheap and nasty part that shouldn't have made it into the tin. :) :/ I haven't any in atm else I'd have posted a pic to show you. Imagine a round-ish piece of steak surrounded by those claw-like frills around the outside edge. Never done the dogs any harm. :D
 
Well I just showed the photo in the OP to one of my mates.

He reckons it's a creature engineered and created by the US government/illuminati to make the public believe in extraterrestrials.

Ergh! Ravioli is now officially on my do not want list. Along with economy burgers (despite the "experts" on here saying they don't contain gristle).

I don't know what surprises me more, the manky thing Gilly found in his food or how many Starcraft references there have been.
