Natural Selection 2

I bought this before release but reformatted 4 months ago and havent redownloaded it.
Ill have a bash Sunday perhaps.
 
So what's the status on this? Still in Beta? Going to be on Steam?

Looks like fun. May give it a pre-order now since it's close to release, do lots of people play?

its a wicked game, when u get a good team the game just flows and the fights are epic!
The last 4 patches have made 2full servers to about 15full servers!
I have been playing it a lot! from early alpha and i have to say the game is getting there!!
It will be released on steam! and if u preorder u download it of steam 2
 
Pre-ordered now :D Can't DL till after 9 though (Cheers Virgin Media!) but I should be around soon. Anyone fancy teaching me the ropes etc? My Steam link is in my signature, would be nice to play with some overclockers.

When the marines start there a command chair, once entered that players view is shifted to a top down RTS view, from there they can give out orders, research upgrades, & much more.

Theres an alien commander too, but the role is slightly different, more of a support / expand route.
 
Some of the servers simply suck, its not totally their fault though, the game still needs work but when you go on a decent server it's pretty good, type net_stats in the console to see if the server is at around 30 ticks, anything below that and things start to lag.

Make sure to set graphics high as lowering things makes very little difference to fps, it should be around 30+ (r_stats) most of the time but it does drop below, they'll sort it eventually.
