NEARLY 2 YEARS WAITING: New Mustang GT PP is finally mine!

Have these gone up in price again? Almost £40k for a V8 with options. Swear they were less than that at launch.

Yes gone up a few thousand with another price increase rumoured soon.

Not often you can buy a brand new mass production car and a year later for them to be selling used for what was paid and more. :)

No plans on selling though, it's great fun! :D

You would have got the same return on €50k :). Is s nice bonus though !

This colour was very nice. Drove one last week and it felt like a bargain of a car for the money.

Shelby mustang was giving passenger ride around the Millbrook handling circuit and bowl too

Thats DIB, deep impact blue, a really nice colour but now discontinued along with competition orange and oxford white. So those who have those colours might be worth a little extra now. :)

There is now lightning blue, still yet to see this in the flesh but not sure from photos, pearl white which just seems to be a metallic rather than flat white.

Then of course grabber blue, the famous Mustang colour and with a little black thrown this colour does look awesome, if a 10=speed auto option does come and I trade in this is colour I will probably go for next time round.

In other news Ford have pretty much made most of the GT 350 parts now available to buy that are an upgrade over regular GT PP parts such as GT 350 shocks, springs, half shafts, intake manifolds, cai, tb, cylinder heads, wheels hubs etc.

I've bit the bullit and got 350 half shafts, cai, intake manifold, throttle body coming over, but damn only getting 1.19 rate hurt and its yet to land which will add a further 25% on top, cost more in pounds than dollars now. :(

I know this is a mustang thread but most posters in the know post here about American cars.

Whats the deal with C7 Corvettes, they were meant to be the first American sports car that could genuinely handle, why are they not a bigger deal now?

They are incredible and out handle most cars, but they are LHD with no real official sales presence outside USA.

I am sure if they were RHD will full dealer support like Mustang we'd see a few more but with the pound so weak now American cars are not particular cheap any more to import either.

i've already bought another Jazz, that's what i'm on about, the K20 or 24 will fit ok but the Chevy wont, even though it's the better choice for Drag racing only..........not track.

Did I read this right or are you on a wind up?

After spending God knows how many months wasting people's time on the MLR, you've gone and bought another Jazz?

I think you can choose. Anyway this takes it away from being an affordable car. For that sort of money I'd probably rather get the F-type R.

This and remember the Super Snake is not a new car, its based on the older S197 platform which if your only interest is straight lines and making a racket, then its the car for you. But the newer S550 is a vast leap better when it comes to interior quality, features, toys and handles a lot lot better out the box.

For instance a bog stock S550 laps quicker than the BOSS 302 which was the best that could be done with the S197 and live axle, don't get me wrong the BOSS 302 is actually really awesome to drive and they do feel like they are on rails, particular on smoother on roads, but the S550 is a lot better and do some tweaking on the S550 and the handling is really something rather special, which Ford have proven with GT 350 cars.

But yes for the amount of money it would cost 80k, there are far better options available from Europe, that new Alfa for 60-70k is an awesome car, the F-Type R AWD another superb car, then of course 911's, Nissan GTR there really is no reason to drop 80k on an old Mustang when Europe has better options.

After having a look at a 'Stang in a dealer last week, I came away wondering what was the point in having a rear seat You'd have to be a double amputee to sit there!

I've had 4 adults in mine, those in the rear have to crouch down and I've no idea where there legs went. :D

But yes just like a 911, the rear seats are more show than functional, fine if you had kids though.

i'm going to sell my 1st Jazz, i'm still after a weekend car, i was always intending to buy another Jazz........regardless of anything

I think he meant this one: http://www.billshepherdmustang.com/shelby-supersnake

Point still stands though, expensive for what it is.
