NEARLY 2 YEARS WAITING: New Mustang GT PP is finally mine!

Gibbo your passion on this is great to see. We are all petrol heads and frankly a mans passion on a project like this outweighs logic, not that it's illogical. Keep us up to speed, I for one am enjoying the progress as you add bits and stuff and watching it progress, though to be fair I'd be driving more than polishing it you Herbert.

Now get those wheels off and get some more suspension stuff on it.

One month in, 1000 miles done, spacers were installed, followed by a good couple of hours drive, yes the smiles per mile are at maximum! :)

All I have left to fit is:
Anti-roll bars
Front spacers

Thats it, just leaving roll bars for now as car as it sits now is totally amazing to drive so wanna get a few weeks on it now, that gives me a good idea if and when I fit the roll bars the impact they have as they could make it ride far harsher. Fitting GT3 bars on 911 really improved its balance but it rode a lot more harsher. Yet on the M3 fitting CSL bars had no impact on ride quality but did improve handling/roll. We shall see! :)

So I'm guessing the warranty is now void

Yes and no, void on the parts changed, still stands on the parts left untouched.

For example, my shocks leak, my problem down to my wallet to pay and fix.
But say my stereo stops working, Ford will fix it.

I checked with my dealership in short warranty stands if that part of the car is not modified or they can prove the modification caused the failure.

All I want a warranty on is engine, drivetrain, electronics, infotainment etc. This is why I've left performance modifications alone, the dealership said a catback exhaust has no impact on power/performance and are fine with it. The moment I tune the engine, then its my problem.

Were they really £60 quid mate? As I can't get near that quote?

Yes for what they call a valet.
Wheels purple rain
Wheels wheel cleaner
Snow foam
Snow foam gloss
Wash car
Sealant
Wax
Glass cleaner and repel added
Trim cleaner

£60 for valet and £14 for reaper drying towel. Maybe I got a good rate being repeat customer.

No correction required and good for them to have a tasty motor on their pages too. ;)

Yes this was just a valet, not a correction!

But I never told them what car I was bringing, but somehow they knew I had a Mustang, I thought I'd kept it low key. :D

Kevin (the detailer) did say the finish was one of the better ones he'd seen and it had no need for correction and there was no contaminants in the paint. :)

The £60 quote was also based on using Autograph wax, but unfortunately for them they only had the more expensive Legacy wax which belonged to the owner Mark, so they agreed to use that instead, win for me! :)

The Reaper drying towel is excellent by the way, makes drying the car easy and very quick!

I have no intentions on going this far, but it still impresses me that a car with this much performance is still his daily driver which he drives too and from the track and work everyday.

Forget the 1/4 mile time, I am more impressed by the 1/8 mile time, I mean only 5.8s at 122mph, that car has to be doing 0-100mph in sub 5s and that is totally insane for a RWD car and one still running stock transmission and the engine is relatively standard also.

Incredible results!

I won't be building mine for drag racing, but just impresses me how fast these cars are with a blower attached. :)

The sun came out, photos were taken! :D

God that looks good and fair play to you for having the balls to mod a brand a new car.

Tell you what before you fitted those spacers on the rear I couldn't see any need for them but now you've done it they look great and the fronts are crying out for the same treatment. Didn't spot it before but your right about them looking a bit hidden away in the arches.

Hopefully the demand seen for these will entice a few more US cars to be offered over here in right hand drive, looking at you Chevrolet!

Car looks epic. It really does. 2 questions, would it look better without the slightly clumsy 5.0 badge on the side? Also do the wheels look a tad small for the arches or is it just me?

I like the 5.0 badges so they are staying. :)
Rear wheels look spot on, front crying for spacers.

When I change wheels if I go 20" the reason will purely be due to tyre availability. :)

Yeah, they do some good stuff. I know them pretty well now having nearly bankrupted myself buying their products! Good blag re. Legacy too, landed on your feet there. ;)

Kev's work's top notch, he did a full 2 day correction on my Ibiza a while back and the shine afterwards was incredible. He and Mark also managed to save my bacon after hitting motorway debris thrown up by a truck. Not a trace left of the mess left all down my wing, which was a huge relief.
