NEARLY 2 YEARS WAITING: New Mustang GT PP is finally mine!

17! :p

Still, I guess you don't mess about with eco driving tactics. :D

That said, its only 8 less than when I go for a spirited weekend drive... And I have half the cylinders and less than half the displacement!

For what it is it is good, because it is matches the 911 with two more cylinders and more weight to lug around and on a run it can achieve over 30mpg which is better than the 911, so economy is way beyond my expectations of 11-14 day to day and around 25 on a run. :)

Plus fuel is much cheaper, servicing cost is absolute peanuts and insurance is also peanuts, not only is the car incredible value it also cost very little to run for a V8 and the performance it offers. :)

Yes it would be nice if it had some of the neat touches the GM cars have such as 4 cylinder eco mode (4 cylinder shut down) along with a decent modern DCT/Auto style box but small niggles and I enjoy driving it so much and I just stand looking at the car, always looking back at it and taking photos. Out of all the cars I owned only my past Mustang and the 911 I could just simply look at because they looked so damn good. :)

dont make me laugh............eco mode on a V8 Mustang, who gives a damn :D:D

When your cruising on a motorway at 80mph it makes perfect sense and can improve economy on such a run by 8-10mpg. Like a say would be a nice feature but not a deal changer in the slightest.

Fitted my new catback today :)

A cat-back just backboxes and a bit of pipe anyway, not much difference to noise or performance vs just backboxes :p

On a Mustang not the case, axle back is what is in the picture. A Catback is the entire centre section which will feature either an x or h design and completely changes the tone and sound level of the car.

The stock car has a resonator or nick named suitcase, its heavy and tames the car, a lot of people actually change out just this pipe and keep the standard axle backs because it has a more dramatic effect on sound/volume.

Gotcha! OK well in a peasant car with a single pipe, what I said is more true. :p

Not really, let's take mine with a single pipe. Stock is a small 2.25 pipe with silencer in, mine is 3" straight pipe. That makes a big difference ;)

Daaaamn this exhaust is loud from cold start :D

Will have to get a vid

Cold starts are loud for sure, here was my first start up:

I love it and everyone who hears mine cannot believe how great it sounds. Its a touch louder/deeper now its gone some miles on it.

Yours is the FRPP so should be a little more raspy in comparison. :)

My neighbour popped round to hear the new exhaust, it was way louder than I expected as when I collected it from the garage it must still have been warm.

I also removed the sound symposer fitting the air filter. I'm already starting to miss the sound, it's surprising how much engine noise was actually piped into the car.

Yes it is why I am keeping stock air box and the symposer because it is real engine noise piped in and it sounds really good. :)

I will only lose it when I fit the whipple simply because the whine the supercharger will make will not need any symposer in the cabin. :D

Annoyingly the filter didn't get installed, turns out they didn't ship the Venturi insert pre-installed into the intake tube, so when I started the car the rev's were erratic and they kept rising without the accelerator. So I told them to replace the stock filter, but the sound symposer wasn't re-attached, the pipe was just blocked up :(
