NEARLY 2 YEARS WAITING: New Mustang GT PP is finally mine!

Hi there

Had a lot of fun in the car this weekend, so glad to have it back. As such it had got rather filthy, so up early this morning for a full wash, sealant etc.

Instead of photos I did a video showing exhaust cold start and some gentle blips in 2500-3500rpm range. There is also some more exhaust at 4:00 onwards too:

Got the car looking just how I want it, still got new wheels incoming which I am sure will do the impossible and make it look even better. But car is now spot on, just needs even more power. :D

Hi there

Went for a random drive, then met up with a fellow Mustang owner (Pedestrian from M6G), lots of fun driving but we grabbed some photos before the car got all dirtied up, my wheels are caked in brake dust already, lol.

Also some images from the NC500 trip of the other Mustangs:

A mighty impressive launch off the line from the RS, but it shows the difference between a very hot hatch and a 5.0 Mustang after.

They achieved Fords claimed figures on the RS but were well off on the Mustang!

I've tried launching mine and had similar slow times, my best was 5.5s with LC and 5.9s without. Really slow! :(
The car just spins in first and get loose when changing into second aggressively.

Since the MPSS I've noticed I've got vastly more grip in all conditions and I can even floor it in first with no wheelspin.

So I did a gentle zero RPM launch and did not use the no lift feature so this is easily repeatable:

Pretty happy with that, I reckon with LC I can go sub 4.5s and I reckon sub 10s is possible 0-100 as the above included a change to 4th which is not necessary as car does around 102 in 3rd on the 7500rpm limiter.

Still for a human gentle launch with a manual quite happy with that and all I can say the MPSS tyre is the best upgrade you can make to a Mustang. :)

Good clip I've wondered what would come out on top between them cars with having almost identical 0-60 times but it shows horsepower doesn't always prove everything with it being 345bhp vs 425bhp and the Focus being quicker up to probably around 60 ish

4WD with good tyres VS a poor driver in the Mustang on poor tyres. The Mustang was way of Fords claimed figures yet the RS was bang on. They achieved 5.3s to 60 and 12.7 to 100 in the Mustang which is quite a bit of the pace yet in the RS they achieved 4.7s to 60 and 12.7 to 100 bang on the book figures. Crap driver but in his defence the Mustang was on Pzero and the RS had the vastly better MPSS. I've achieved 4.8s to 60 in mine and 10.7s which is vastly quicker than what they achieved and that's without me using LC or no lift shift. :)

arch gap is real when its a side by side.

Still so aggressive looking due to all the little details here and there, nice!

When are the new wheels getting here Gibbo?

Still doesn't take away from the fact the mustang didn't half pull the gap back well after the launch. Certainly shows what that extra bhp does.

Impressive figures especially the 10.7 to 100.
I think drag races can always be taken with a pinch of salt as u say the driver of the Mustang didn't look very capable. It was very close even though the RS got a far better start with its 4wd and launch control.

Cheers!
It can certainly do it quicker if I use LC and just leave it in 3rd, might scrape closer to 10s dead and next wave of modifications should take it under 10s and that's staying NA. If I go Whipple they do it sub 7s lol....
