Love the grabber blue model as well, nice to see a bit more choice on the ford website, now just waiting for my numbers to come up.
 
I think Sync 3 is now being fitted to just about every Ford model that had Sync 2. All 2017MY anyways... Seen an S-Max with it... VERY responsive compared to old touch screen.

Yes Sync 3 is now standard, its faster more responsive system and has Apple play. Though I do prefer Sync 2 homepage and layout. :)

Also supports Android Auto ;)

Sync2 is a bit easier to use in that its 4 big square sections on the screen and the screen needs a very positive press to respond... But then I guess this prevents you from hitting something accidentally...

Lower grill scoop? What's that for, intake or oil cooler?

You got it, intake. Will post up what I did to improve the intake system later. :)

Certainly not directing anything at oil cooler, don't need it leaking again and never had any over heating issues, stock cooler seems fine even on track.
 
Only in jest :) I need to get one ordered for mine at some point, what size is it? I'm sure there was a discussion at one point about you not running a front plate at all?


Font is UK legal size but the white area is much smaller, cannot remember dimensions but its an EU size, might be Swiss or Swedish.
 
Stupid question but doesn't the lower intake on the bottom of the splitter now mean you'll run a higher risk of water being sucked up through this into the intake?
 
Splitters also generate downforce my lowering air pressure. Not really sure that's the best location for a duct. Can you move it ?

Nope, its not sealed, so no actual vacuum.

I have thought about this, it could maybe even suck air potentially from the intake do you reckon? When I direct pressurised air at front splitter, the smoke was blowing upto into the intake, but obviously an aerosol can does not replicate true road conditions. My mine concern is if the duct in the splitter could be doing the absolute opposite and taking air from the intake possibly?

The duct is angled to catch air but the location could be an issue, I could shape some aluminium sheeting into a low profile scoop around it so the air can only enter it and not exit (only exit would be in the intake). As to positioning elsewhere I don't think so except for maybe the arch liner for the wheel well?
