He probably means it can take 200kg of weight which I certainly don't doubt, got the same counter in my kitchen and I have stood on it before as well as someone else at the same time (combined weight maybe 160kg).
Ugh I can't belive I put "wait" instead of "weight"
Very tough, I have a 20 inch LCD, my main computer, a 17inch CRT, 2xKB and speakers on here no problems.
You thought he meant weighs 200kg didnt you?

It is not a waste of money getting a slightly more pricey desk, they have the tendancy to just go on and on, way past where a cheaper one would be utter tat.
My one is falling apart after 5 years, paid £160 for it so not to bad but could have lasted a little longer.
I have this glass desk and I can't say a bad thing about it. There's no way you're gonna break the glass unless you jump on it from a great height - glass is about 7mm thick or maybe a touch more. It's a sturdy desk and looks real good as long as you're a tidy sort of person, can't get away with stuffed draws with carp as you can see straight down into the trays.
I have my Wavemaster in the PC tower part and it fits with just about 1mm to spare, can also use a Momo steering wheel with it with again, just less than 1mm spare. I have a 2001FP Dell monitor on it which looks nice and not too big or small on it.
You can choose to have the tower/trays on either side so to adjust to any room.
I also used to have my crystal XBox in the scanner tray and it just fits. Looked good looking down onto it through the glass.
I can highly recommend this desk.
Will post some pics if and when I find them.
Edit: Found some old pics, not great but show what it's like. I've now cable tidied all the cables at the back.
There are some CD trays behind the door on the right, but no DVD trays unfortunately. I've got the PC on the top of the desk on the left, as my Sonata case has a door that opens that way. That leaves a space where the PC is designed to go, and I stack my DVDs there.
