Need a riddle

In fairness it is a rather open ended question. The answers you have been given so far all hold true.

A sandwich would be the same.

Water isn't really an object as you can't cut through it. A sponge if you cut through it you'll be left with two objects. Same with a sandwich.

I can cut clean through it, but still be left with one solid object.

I'll reveal the answer upon the next incorrect guess.

You would not be left with two objects if you cut through a sponge :) You would be left with one object. In fact if you blend 5 sponges together and left them to it you would come back to 5 distinct sponges :)

Hmm. Well I never actually knew that. I assumed if you cut through it you would half it.

OK so anyway, brace yourself!

An elastic band. Slice it clean through and you're still left with one object with two ends. :p

You cut through a golf ball and you'll be left with plenty of pieces :p

[Edit] that answer is rubbish. I assume you made that one up yourself, because if you slice straight through an elastic band you have two halves of an elastic band in two distinct pieces, otherwise you could half-cut everything and still be left with one solid object.

Thought you might say that. :p

It's from a book I had bought for me one Christmas. I'll scan the page if I can find it.

What can be driven, and sliced and still hold its form?
A golf ball, thats what i read:p

Anyway i got one:

What word can be spelt forwards, backwards and upside down and still spell the same?
