Water?
No.
Water?
In fairness it is a rather open ended question. The answers you have been given so far all hold true.
A sandwich would be the same.
You would not be left with two objects if you cut through a spongeYou would be left with one object. In fact if you blend 5 sponges together and left them to it you would come back to 5 distinct sponges

You cut through a golf ball and you'll be left with plenty of pieces
[Edit] that answer is rubbish. I assume you made that one up yourself, because if you slice straight through an elastic band you have two halves of an elastic band in two distinct pieces, otherwise you could half-cut everything and still be left with one solid object.
What word can be spelt forwards, backwards and upside down and still spell the same?
What can be driven, and sliced and still hold its form?
A golf ball, thats what i read
Anyway i got one:
What word can be spelt forwards, backwards and upside down and still spell the same?
Right here you are then here's a rather easy, unambiguous one:
What kind of coat can only be put on when wet?
