Need for Speed Carbon

I just finished career mode with my viper. It's an absolute beast with upgrades! :D.

Took about 12 hours total which is about the same time it took me to complete hl2 the first time around. I'm not really dissapointed with the length of the game as I had a lot of fun playing it so far and there's still reward cards to collect and the challenge races! Shame about the lack of music tracks though.. just seems to be the same one on repeat all the bloody time :o

I'm hoping it's gonna be fun online too :)
 
Can't even install the demo. :(

Comes with a directx error saying that I need dx 0 or later before I can install. Bit strangle considering I already have 9.0c :confused:

It is, me and afew friends have been playing pursuit tag, basically your all cops and one has to evade, its so much fun with us all on TS.

Also a pursuit mode where you race and the slowest on each lap turns into a police car his job is to wreck the others race, its so nice being able to drive thru those turning signs like police do, utter freedom :p

Visual Treatment in NFS is usually things like over-bright, blurring, brighten the image in a tunnel so everything is initially bright when you leave (tone mapping, commonly mistaken for HDR). Best have it off if you like more realistic graphics, but it does make things 'prettier'. I found Visual Treatment in earlier NFS made the game harder because you couldn't see the track as easily :p Prolly the same in Carbon.

I always turned it off too :) In NFS:U 1&2, Visual Treatment was ridiculous. Can't remember MW, but I'm sure it was off nonetheless :p
 
I cannot believe it, I was about 52% complete of the game. I have just got my hands on a Porsche, and I have done most of the Challenges, when the game crashed. I restarted the game, but its now unable to load my profile. I am well ****** off :mad: :mad: :mad:
 
Just got the demo to work at last... windows2000 compatability mode set on the setup.exe.

Time to complete demo including the install... 17mins and that's using the arrow keys!

What a pile of poop...
 
This game is a right joke. I have had to start over again, and now it keeps crashing to the desktop with no error messages. I ain't even got to the safe house yet, due to the amonut of crashes. Well done EA :rolleyes: :mad:
 
well I have to start over again as I have messed up. Went to buy a Dodge charger and ended up buying it 6 times because there was no indication of if I had bought it or not. Now I have no money for a better car and cannot compete in any more races because I just get lapped.

Completed the game yesterday, pretty cool game if you ask me, better than all of the more recent NFS titles :D

ok well it wasnt EXACT :p

try for yourself getting around 90% career on NFSC then do it on MW, it'll take waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay longor, I like games which last.
