Oh god, I haven't a clue, have to have a look this evening!

Congrats on winning week 1 NIKAZ. I get the feeling we all got a bit bored with last week's combo due to the Zytok thing, shame as it wasn't a bad combo. I for one spent most of the week trying to learn the 'Ring', there's far too many corners for my little brain to remember atm, best I managed is around 6.45 in the Murcielago, plenty more to come there.

This week's combo sounds good, I struggled with this track last time out and I haven't tried this car at all yet.

Well done NIKAZ on Week 1 of Season 3. not the best combo I guess but we all had fun right?

Here's my first for the F1:

Have to say this car is going to take some hard work to master...and some expert tuning is needed too :D over to you NIKAZ!

Cheers guys. Much appreciated.

I agree Danny, 'Zytok Style' had a spoiling factor to it though it was good fun. I did manage a mid 19 driving a clean race, just couldn't manage the 18's so the Zytok style certainly gains ~a second.

I remember Road America from last season (I think) where Marine & I were battling it out at the top. We pushed each other to times even I didn't think were possible.

I know Marine loves 'The Ring' especially with the LP640. He's probably way ahead of all of us when it comes to the amount of laps needed to even get a decent lap time. Finding a balance with the tuning is a real pain due to the varied nature of this awesome circuit.

Out of slow corners under acceleration.

Corner EXIT Oversteer

Progressive (Gradual increase in oversteer as you apply throttle)
Soften Rear Sway (Anti Roll) bar
Reduce Rear Camber
Increase Rear downforce
Increase Rear Toe-in
Stiffen Rear Spring, Bumb & Rebound
Note - Remember Slow Bumb/Rebound = Driver input - Fast Bump/Rebound = Track conditions

Sudden (Car feels planted/settled during cornering phase then the Rear breaks loose suddenly)
Reduce Rear Bump stiffness
Reduce Rear Rebound stiffness
Reduce both Rear Bump & Rebound
Note - Rebound should be stiffer than the equivalent Bump

Sorry can't be more helpful, my gaming rig is playing up again so I've no idea what the McLaren F1 default settings are.

Cool track and car, never done either before. Well I started out just trying to keep the car on the road let alone get a laptime, heh. It was like the tyres were made of ice.:p

For me, I found leaving default advance tuning is fine, and I just adjusted these:

Front & Rear tyres 30
Front brakes @ 65 to improve understeer and compensate for the horrible oversteer of this car.
Front downforce 7
Rear downforce 10

Whether those settings will get me closer to 2:01 I don't know yet, I'll have to see, but I'm quite pleased with my current result for a first day effort, normally takes me a few days to get a decent laptime. I started with 2:15.550 and now I'm down to this:

Back from the pub, first run:

Any other wheel users have problems with the bumps? In general the wheel gives us an advantage over pad users, but with the force feedback, my G25 is all over the place on every bump, realistic of course but makes it more difficult to control IMO, especially after a pint or two ;)

*EDIT* BTW Merlin, the target this week is most certainly well under 2 mins, I'm sure NIKAZ will be running at 1:57 or below once his gaming machine is behaving. NIKAZ I hope you get it fixed up soon, but for the time being it's quite nice not seeing some impossibly fast time at the top already :)
