Need for Speed Shift - Time Trial Championship ** Season 3 ** (Multiplatform)

Touch quicker but still struggling with the setup of this car, loosing back end on acceleration and under heavy braking all the time.

Superb time NIKAZ - I said earlier in the thread that you would hit the 1:57's this week, and you will no doubt prove me right. As for me I think I'm capable of a high 1:58 but I've never managed to keep up with you in a RWD car in the past and I don't think that's going to change this week. I hope you don't get bored with the lack of competition you have had recently!

I can get in the low to mid 58's consistently now. My first lap is in the 59's.

Been playing with Shock settings to improve the rear end over bumps & stability exiting corners with no significant joy I'm afraid.

Lower your type pressures to 26.09, far left for both front & rear. It seems to help with the rear end a little.
Most important as you all I'm sure are aware is THROTTLE CONTROL & try & stay off the curbs.

I'll post a vid tomorrow if my rig holds up.
 
Lol the curbs are my enemy i normally drive right up and on a curb :(

The last corner is what's catching me out everytime :( i just had to have a break as i went mental at my xbox controller was going to get into the 1:59's and it done me spun right around :(:p

Edit: i have also just realised that i did a 2:00.130 but thought i was no quicker so didn't bother with a screenshot oh my god what a **** :(:(

As I suspected, I can't even get close to 2:00 now, the amount of times my back end has gone out I'll have the police knocking on my door for indecent exposure any minute.
 
i cant even get close to 2:05 lol i cant seem to drive my own choice of car lol think i might ditch my wheel and use my pad!
 
I changed to normal handling car instead of experienced and got my best laptime so far.


I'm told that normal is better for faster lap times. Whether that's true I'm not totally sure, though it definitely seems to hold the rear end of the car better as there's apparently more traction on normal. But I still turned off all assists except abs.

Thanks Merlin5, had mine on pro, changed to normal, first run 2.02 ish, 2 secs of my previous best time, now into 2.01, with tuning still for pro setup.

Yeah, need more FWD cars ;) .. im good with those.

'Working' from home today, so will hopfully get in some laps and update the website for season 3 ;)

Yep Wedge, we are all racing for second this week again :( While you are at the website, is there any chance the previous seasons can be available to view? Don't worry if it's a hassle to do mate :)

Well i wont be getting anymore times up as my little rig has died again really not happy and haven't even put up my best time hopefully ill be back soon but it will be late on in the season by then :(:(
