Ok was doing consistant 53's but was struggling to break into the 52's .
Seemed to find my groove today and messed with ride level and bumpstops to cure the instability after the jump . I still have to brake but dont have to fight it after it lands .
There is more to come but its very hard to put in that 1 uber lap . 1 missed braking marker messes up the whole line and speed through the next set of corners . I dont think i will win this week but if i can hover in the top 5 i will be happy .
Done a vid for you also but only in replay mode im afraid as i just cant race and record . But should give you a rough idea of what a 52 lap looks like .

Agreed, just needs a League table link and it would be done. I like the look of the other one but it's not necessary and currently it doesn't have all the info.

That said, after i set a 53.00 a couple of days ago i was happy with how the car handled, started the game last night and WOW! nothing like i remembered from the day before! practically uncontrollable, set all tuning options to default, raised the ride height a little and got under 53 seconds!
I will be trying my best to get down into the 52's tonight.

Use whatever you like...i find nitrous just gives me wheelspin on this track though..far better to concentrate on racing lines and car setup.

lol I did that...I spent a good 10-20min tuning the car but to no avail to make it that little more faster...tried with steering assist off and I was just sliding everywhere...the way I see it...if I can get round the first bend at high speed without flying off the track and I get past the first sector in about 10-11 secs then that sets me up for a very good finish but no matter how hard I try I just can't.
Also anyone else notice how it takes an age to change from 4th to 5th gear at the beginning? I have it on auto so when the gears are meant to change, if I move the wheel a tad it doesnt change gear. so I find myself almost burning out.
I have tweaked the gears so they move quicker but again no joy. I will likely to try again tonight but we will see

OP updated. I'm gonna have a stab at this tonight 
Just got the game & had a quick run last night, got enough cash for the bimmer & all of the upgrades
Had a crack at that that track & havnt managed less than 59ish seconds!!!
will have to dabble with the car setup & stop using the keyboard lol
waiting for a 360 controller to turned up... a few months ago i gave away my FF steering wheel & peddles :'( blast :'( lol

Don't worry I had a quick blast this morning, did a small amount of modding with the small amount of cash I had an didn't get better than 1.03 - i'm pretty confident I can get the time down but to 53 or even 56 that seems insane. Heres hoping Nitro peps it up enough

If you think nitro is yer 5 sec cure yer sadly mistaken . If yer doing 53's it might get u a 52. I personaly only use it 3 times per lap (twice on main straight) as its just to loose giving it some between corners. I always end up being in the wrong place with nitro .
Getting the car balanced with some grip is the key and its a fine line between hitting the limiter on the straight to gain more accleration through the corners or have it maxed down the straight and nitro the corners .
I think all the top 4 are using xbox pads . And not having tried a wheel in this game i cant say if its an advantage but im sure if yer using a keyboard its a big disadvantage .
Practise and setup are they key but its easy to get lost in the settings and totaly screw the handling . I have had to reset defaults before because i just totally messed it up and could not get it back to normal .
