Nice vid mate..cant beleive how stable that is over the bumps .. i can see where im loosing 2 secs hehe

is that with any of realism mods or anti bump mod? Or pure vanilla shift ?

Trust me, it don't feel as stable as that vid presents.

No mods, just in the groove yesterday. Today I've only managed to get in the 51's once and that was 51.85.

May I suggest that the leader & runner up of the 'Total Points' table select the next car/ track. The way I see it if a drivers consistently at the top of the table but never wins an individual event, he/she never gets to choose...

or for some interesting combo's
Winner picks car, runner up picks track not knowing the others choice.
OK maybe not. We'd end up with the Zonda R round the crazy 8 track... 2nd gear anybody?.
 
I read on the official forums by a non ea poster that the downforce doesn't seem to affect handling with the exception of top speed i.e car didn't go round corners any better but the top speed increased or decreased dependant on amount.

Didn't see this soon enough to test but would be interesting if this is the case
 
I have crumbled and ordered a wheel, not the G25 mind, cant stretch to that atm, so went for the Logitech Driving Force EX wheel, i found some reviews that were favourable, and pound for pound looks like a good wheel.

Will be interesting if i beat my time using the 360 controller, are wheels easy to configure, having never owned on :o
 
I've started to look at a wheel too, after last nights Shift session my steering thumb was aching quite badly... that'll learn me for only playing FPS's for eons lol
 
G25 coming for my birthday next month. I'm fully expecting the price to have gone through the roof by then, or for them all to be gone knowing my luck. Cadlon, you didn't manage to beat 52.560 then?

Loving this game now, no idea whether it's realistic or not, having never took any interest in 'real' driving I am in no position to judge. Great fun though and this competition as others have said is perfect for honing the skills & learning the tracks.
 
danswan... nope i didnt beat it :'( i got very close a few times, but my left thumb gave up lol It's not used to the 360 controller just yet.
I rekon if i got a trouble free lap in i could shave .3~.4 off, but my driving style it a touch too ragged lol
Roll on the next challenge :D

G25 is a great wheel, takes a bit of time to get used to it but well worth it..especially on Race 07 etc.
