Need for Speed Shift - Time Trial Championship

found the solution to the clock issue. The clock is actually fine before you install the patch. The patch breaks it!!! :(

Yeah I was going to suggest the patch may have something to do with the timer issue. I generally only patch games if it resolves an issue I'm having. If it ain't broke it don't need fixing.

Anyway give me a few minute's to upload my settings. A little teasing is good for the soul you know.

Slightly improved time, finally into 1.28s but i have to say this time is down to Nikaz.I changed the tyre pressure and gear ratio's to what he said and straight away improved my time by .7sec.

As promised here are my settings. The vid I recorded used these settings. (On the subject of my vid when I watch it the sound is out of sync, is this the same for you?)

I'm using a x360 controller so a wheel isn't a necessity for top times. Just try NOT to steer too aggressively, slight, smooth movement on the controller is key.

If your having trouble with a particular corner I'll try an explain how I approach said corner as best I can if you think it may help.

Give it a quite a few laps to get dialled-in to how the car handles with these settings.

Enough with me yapping... NOW go and beat my time..

Thanks mate - not playing tonight but will have a good go tomorrow, I'll not be beating your time but there's still some improvements I can make. What downforce have you used?
 
i've mastered 8/10 corners on this track, i'm struggling with corners 2 and 3, i'm getting constant 1.32's now though, but i lose concentration for at least 1 corner every lap so i know i can beat 1.30, i just need to hold my concentration longer, eg. i had a 1.32.6 lap, then on the next lap, by the first sector i was a second quicker then went and cocked it up on sector 2 :(

T-2 you can break quite late. When the racing line turns red break hard about one car length into the red whilst dropping to 2nd gear then ease of the brake whilst turning into the apex. Try not to ride the apex, sort of kiss it if you know what I mean. When the racing line starts to turn green you'll be inclined to floor the throttle DON'T. Ease on the gas letting the car ease out to the outside on the exit of the corner first and when you can see the next corner T-3 apply gas fully.

T-3 looks relatively simple and can be if your exit from T-2 is good. After a good exit of T-2 you should be heading for the right hand side of the track (little if any repositioning of the car should be required} for T-3 approach. Keep in 3rd gear and brake on the yellow {just before red} and once again kiss the apex. Accelerate out the corner still in 3rd changing up to 4th just before the breaking point of T-4.

As a general rule being a LHD car I keep the racing line slightly to the right of centre in cockpit view. Think of it as if the inside track of the right hand side tyres are running along the racing line.

I hope that makes sense. It does in my head LOL

Oh I see. I haven't tried online yet, having too much fun here.
Is the online any good? I just assumed it would be more akin to destruction derby than clean racing.

Nikaz - really appretiate you sharing those settings, first proper lap saw a second chopped off, car is more unstable but much better now. Now to see if I have a chance pulling under the 30's :)

When you say unstable is that riding the kerbs or in general?
I try avoiding the kerbs. (Not always possible I know)
General: You could try increasing the ride height slightly & softening the suspension. You'll compromise rear traction a little but it may suit better

With your setting i'm finding it easier to pull the back out to direct me. My settings had also nmade the mistake of trusting the ea forums when they said downforce was broken - it definitely isn't and yours worked very nicely

Thanks to your settings i'm in the sub 1.30 :) SO it's pulled 4 seconds off mine
