I love the BS about how it's designed to be played with the cockpit view.. If you look, you actually only get to use 1/4 of your monitor. I bet that's just a workaround for bad coding. If they really wanted a good experience and a static cockpit they could just supply a cardboard cut-out of a dash to go around the monitor :P
 
graphics look good but bet it has nothing on grid

why dont EA just take a hint, everyone wants need for speed underground 2 remade and updated, they would make a fortune from it

ill skip this 1 same as i have done since most wanted :)

Lolwut?

Firstly, there's no way it could possibly be a 'workaround for bad coding', because it's an actual real-time rendered 3D cockpit, therefore it actually means that there are MORE polys on screen at any one time than if there was no cockpit being rendered.

Secondly, it's not 'static', the cockpit moves seperately from the vitual camera in the driver's head.

I'm sure there will still be bumper and chase-cam veiws available if you're that way inclined.

to the ppl who are saying its arcade, how do you guys know the game is being played in pro mode?? did i miss it in the interview somewhere? if anything with the driver line on it is not in pro mode
 
The video shows TCS and ABS are on yet the car stiull squirms around erratcly. Not overly sure on it. It does look great, I like the cockpit view and the movement.

In my experience Pro mode vs newbie tends to just involve a few driver aids being turned on and markers for braking. This looks different to that. Hard to really describe.
We'll find out when it comes out though, if it is comparable to Forza and works nicely with the G25 I'll be a happy man.
 
That article sucked. It didn't say anything about how the game feels, how accurate the physics are etc.

lol get calm mate, when did i say the article said anything? i havent even read it yet......and even if it didnt say things YOU wanted to hear i bet it says a load of other stuff that ppl would like to or wouldnt mind hearing.....oh that article sucked coz it didnt talk about physics.....look i found the article and thought i would share it, if you cant appreciate that then do1

Mate, take your own advice and calm down. I wasn't digging at you, I was having a pop at the writers of the article, it didn't say anything that isn't already known about the game.

:p people take life/themselves too seriously.... i remember i was on the high res thread a few eeks ago saying that the ammount of FSX pics was getting boring and someone advised the person who had put them up to block me!!!!... some people just need a good beating..
 
That was exactly my thoughts. I think they learned they're lesson from Prostreet, I tried that demo and it was boring, handling was rubbish and the graphics were stuttery beyond belief.

To be fair I was distinctly unimpressed by the demo too, but being a NFS game I bought it anyway. It kind of grew on me, the handling takes a bit of getting used to. There was the odd drift track that got very annoying though and the time trials seemed to have target times linked to the BHP of the car you were driving or something stupid like that (so I had to ditch my souped up Zonda for one race and take out the Viper instead).

i was the one saying why do ppl think its arcadey physics when they dont know the mode, then you say the article sux no physics chat, so i thought it was at me.....you shoudl have been more clear:p

looks like a misunderstanding so soz, still saying the art sux because it doesnt have what you want sux too...ha

and i didnt know the game took longer than the norm loading times on the 360 did you?
