^ Need for Speed Shift ^

I use it quite a lot to get around sharp corners fast :o

Well your gonna lose more time if you use the handbrake cause it's simple logic, sideways = waiting for the car to settle down before getting the power down on exit on corner... smoothness = nicer line, a lot better car control, easy to get power down on exit off corner, watch some youtube vids of sim games on city tracks.

Thats true but some corners the handbrake is a must to get around when late braking.

Nice to know you can assign a key on the wheel for it :)

i can understand console users playing with a little controller but if your grabbing the game on PC the only way to play is with a G25 setup or similar !!! theres never been a better excuse to sell the wife and kids to buy a decent wheel

oh yeah, I'm gonna spend £100+ on a wheel!!! :D

was tempted to get a cheaper FF Wheel but not convinced it's gonna be much good bolted to my computer desk. Plus I have a wheeled chair so surely I'm gonna go backwards every time I brake a bit too hard!!! :D

Seriously, can anyone confirm whether it has proper 360 pad support? I can manage perfectly well in rfactor, grid etc with one so I'm sure I'll manage.

I'm trying to decide if with my 360 controller I should use manual gears and clutch, or just manual gears, in TDU I use the right analogue stick for clutch.

Or just use a 360 controller on the PC :p
Would prefer a demo before I purchase but we'll see...

Interesting, what do you use for other controls? Used to use the right analogue for accelerate/brake and the left for left/right but tend to use the triggers for accelerate/brake these days freeing up the right stick. Have never been tempted to use a clutch control in any game, seems too complicated to me :D

Did experiment using the triggers for left/right and left analogue up for brake, right analogue up for accelerate but despite me thinking this would be instinctive as it seems about as close as you can get to real car controls but couldn't get my head round it at all.

Cheers for the reply though I meant the demo for PC, I didn't make that clear. I guess we'll find out soon.

This is all i could find out about it

The demo is currently due for release sometime before the end of September or the beginning of October, according to what an EA rep told Big Download today. The rep also told us the demo will have two tracks (London River and Spa Francrorchamps) and four cars (Viper, Lotus, BMW M3 and Nissan R35). If you happen to collect all ten of the game's driver badges you will gain access to a fifth car, the Zonda, to drive in the demo.

I use left analogue for steering, right trigger for accelerate and left for brake, right trigger for gear up, left for gear down, I cba with handbrake. Clutch was hard at first but is easy now, just like H mode in TDU is hard and weird at first I'd never use crappy normal mode now, too easy going round corners at 200mph.

H mode???

H mode???

Hardcore.

I'm crying out for NFS:Shift now, I went to play some TDU, PC crashes, BSOD, came back on, launched TDU to find it's asking for my CD Key, which I've left in Manchester :(, damn if only I could derive I'd go all way over there just to get the CD Key.
