that interview with Mr Bell is quite encouraging and at least they are working on fixing some issues.

regarding the few MODS that are available i think i'll pass until the next official patch and see what they change, the game seems fine as it is at the moment for me.
 
Increase the ride height abit and you could take some time off, all that bottoming out is loosing speed.

ride height is at max, bump stops are up too and suspension is quite firm, the car is just too low but the scraping is'nt slowing it up as much as it sounds i think.
edit; i've got it setup with a lot of downforce, maybe the reason? though it does'nt scrape as much on other tracks.

cheers m8 :D what i really like about the R35 is the drivers hand anims using the paddle shifter great detail in this sim/game :) hopefully with some patches they'll polish it up a bit more.

anyone having issues with this on radeon 5870s? it used to play maxed out at 60 fps on my gtx 280 now i cant even start a race without a nfs shift has stopped working message. hopefully that patch will fix it.

Go into your docs folder and find the one labeled NFS shift open it and delete the graphicsconfig xml document.. Game should run fine now... I had this issue too.
 
just thought id post the solution to my need for speed shift problem incase someone else has the same issue. (nfs shift has stopped working" as son as you enter race)

basicly turns out this game supports nvidia physx and upon switching to a radeon card there was still some remnants of physx on my machine. even on reinstallation of the game the game still wanted to use physx even though my gpu no longer supports it. this became evident when i unistalled a physx driver and the game would no longer launch at all with some physx.dll missing error, upon reinstalling the game again it obviously is no longer confused about whether my gfx card supports physx or not and now runs fine!.
 
Guys i played this on release for a whole day at my mates.

I love my rfactor and forza but i thought this was plain horrible to use when you get in cars that are higher performance. Cars felt like ice and the steering was not tight enough.

Now im seeing there is some decent mods out. If i get this game at the weekend what mods should i use to make it close to rfactor or GTR2?

Also can play online with the mods?
