I personally don't use any mods, I have my G25 setup and play the game 'stock' with no assists and its fantastic. Granted when I play rFactor its a totally different kettle of fish but for me, it doesnt have to feel 100% real to be fun but each to their own ;p

the patch might change some driving dynamics but probably not enough for it to fair next to rFactor of LFS ... hopefully they continue to support it and future releases of car's and tracks wont hurt

Apologies if this is old now, I've been out of touch for a while, busy with new baby!

Anyway, I played for a bit last night and having reached the 'World Tour' which the voiceover guy says is a '10 race' tour I raced 4 tracks and had to leave. When I got back to the tour, its started me on the first race again!

Surely this can't be right, I can't see me ever having the time to race 10 tracks (5 laps each).. Or am I missing something?

It's out for PS3 + Xbox 360 and should be about later today for PC. Nvidea has released a drive package to go along with the patch which is out now.

Downloaded the update but have not installed yet.

Theres quite a lot of improvements according to EA and No Grip forums. I have downloaded but not yet installed, its the last week of the NFS Shift time trial championships so I will install on Monday I think.

I havent noticed any performance gains with my crossfire setup. Still getting around 60fps, same as my old 4890 :confused:

Nice game, a few performance issues but on the whole plays ok, still cant touch Grid though

How is GRID any better than this? GRID is also not a sim. For me NFSS is miles ahead of GRID.

It just "feels" better, comes down to personal preference i suppose but NFSS just isn't as polished.... like most EA games :rolleyes:

Does anyone find the bugatti type cars et al a pig to control in this game without a wheel. Just seem so impossible t ocontrol without the precision of a wheel.

I must amit though the visual's on need for speed are very good. not had a chance to try out dirt 2 till tommorow !

Yeah i was surprised how good it looked, well looks much better than the Dirt2 demo, as that was all yellow/orange, so looks nowhere near as good, just hope the full games not all like that.

So i thought id give it a try (ATI owner) and there was a huge performance difference from the 1st demo i tried, although when playing with the camera behind the car, the frame-rate took a nose dive, this isnt normal surely ?

Game seemed great, although keyboard controls while using the 360 pad annoyed me. Is there plenty of players online on this ?
