^ Need for Speed Shift ^

Just completed it. really enjoyable throughout but felt the last race of NFS World Tour was a bit, meh.//// SPOILER /// I was expecting a lap or two of "the ring" but it was 5 laps of bras hatch national.. far to easy for the last race. The other serieses were great tho, just a shame it didnt build to somthing epicy good. /// SPOILER ///

but other than that really good fun. didnt drift, doenst really intrest me. cars used were:

135i
m3
m5
Lambo Murcielago
Zonda R

Good game, basically this is like TOCA RD3 which I was playing earlier in the year, but a bit more forgiving in terms of progression options. I like the fact that you can earn stars without winning races as this means that it doesn't feel like a complete waste of time when you race for 10mins and end up in 4th place.

Graphically it looks decent and runs at 60+fps on my i5/GTX280 setup.

Oh, for those of you who find it entertaining to drive, give NFS5 (Porsche 2000) a try if you haven't already.

Dunno why, but im finding the Zonda very easy to drive and win races with. All asists off except for ABS, and medium AI difficulty.I've just been accepted as a serious driver blah blah blah, but it's still too easy. It's time to make things a little harder me thinks

Has the stuttering been fixed yet?

Got 191.07 installed and it made no difference.

Nor does turning V Sync off, disabling PhysX or renaming exe to gtr2.

Can't find any more suggestions to curing it.

completed 100% everything or just all stars? If you have "just" got all the stars, are you planning to try to get all the badges etc as well?

Perhaps your graphics card overheating? Try using rivatuner and ramping up the fan speed a bit.

That is more likely to cause artifacts than stuttering, plus I don't have any issues with any other game.

Add to the fact that NFS Shift has a known stuttering issue on nVidia hardware, I doubt it's anything to do with my card.

I had similar stuttering with GTA:IV that I've never experienced with any other game. It only seemed to happen when my 260 went above a certain temp. I upped the fan speed and the stuttering stopped.

I also don't get any stuttering on Shift and I'm still using those increased fan speed settings.

Worth a shot.

tried real mod and does'nt feel as simmy to me as stock physics imo, was a lot like gtr2 as in 700bhp car floor the throttle on a corner and not much wheel spin, not very realistic i reckon.
