Need For Speed Shift

grr i'll probably wait and see if my mates like it before i buy.

There's too many good games coming out!

NFS Shift - Xbox 360
Forza 3
Call of Duty - Modern Warfare 2 PC
Dirt 2 - When its on PC

2 maybe games i'll buy :cool:
Operation flashpoint 2 dragon rising
batman arkham asylum - PC

Edit that i'll pre-order it for the xbox 360 i think :) that way i can race over Xbox live :)

same here. forza bores me to tears.

i prefer the more arcadey racers like PGR and GRID. So Shift should be right up my alley!

PS3 review from the same site doesn't do as well, oddly presentation lets it down, and load times..

This is quite a shock to me, I've always shunned the NFS games since I think it was hot pursuit and undercover... The fast n furious type of games they've been pumping out recently were not my cup of tea..

This looks more PGR, and I've been looking for a PGR type game for PS3 for a while now.... Hmmm tempted..

The 8.7 score is the UK review of both versions and the 9.0 is from the Us reviews, Ign does like to confuse you.
 
wasnt sure about this but after seeing the reviews it's certainly tempting! After Halo ODST I'll get this.
 
After 24 hours, i'm not too sure about it. Just played my mate on Live for the first time and he seemed to enjoy it whereas I can't get used to the oversensitive steering.

I've mostly been playing the London tracks and the graphics are definately immense. Suppose with a little practise the steering issues I have will get better.

The loading times are also definately a pain. They don't take too long, but the pattern seems to be:

  1. Wait 1 minute for next race
  2. Do 1 lap for 1 minute
  3. Wait 1 minute for next race
  4. Do 2 laps for 2 minutes
  5. Wait 1 minute for next race
  6. Do 2 laps for 2 minutes

Urgh... When did this get released? I bought Dirt 2 aswell earlier! I'll have to purchase this at some point aswell.

Is the game installed? Hopefully that will help somewhat?
