Need For Speed Shift

Got my jasper elite yesterday and copies of shift and dirt 2 (dont have access to live / marketplace yet as my cc details wherent being accepted last night which was a bit strange)

put shift in for a couple of hours and really liked it - absolutely *****-up the first "test" lap but after that finding it reasonably ok (always expect first few races to be easy anyway)

1 vs 1 as stated previously are rediculously stupid though - several times Ive been left behind by 5 - 10 s by 1/2 way round the lap and Ive still won that lap, other times Ive beaten them into the first corner and havent got to the 2nd corner before "winning" (I know there is something about being 5s ahead on some of these but its just ridiculous to be that far ahead so quickly imo)

Really enjoying over all though, looking forward to Dirt and then Forza more though
 
Just popped GRID in for a quick go after playing this for a few weeks now, and I must say I was more than a little bit gutted.

I had very fond memories of GRID, played it to death when it came out, but it feels really "meh" now, if you know what I mean. Cars don't feel as good, they reach silly speeds really quickly, and it all seems too shiny now. Gutted!

Still enjoying SHIFT, but probably my last day playing it for a while, my Fallout 3 GOTY arrives tomorrow:)
 
I actually got bored the other day, and thought I'd give this another go to try and scratch my Forza itch.

It didnt annoy me as much as it previously had... until I got to a race where you got stars for spinning out your opponents. I mean, WTF? Is this a racing game or destruction derby?
 
I had been enjoying this game on ps3 even with its odd glitches like undrivable cars a few non starting races and bouncey cars and random loses of car setups,was making good progress on level 42 over 750 stars and almost 300 races and over 11 million dollars saved.
Anyway i loaded the game up last night still had 11 million dollars and my newly tuned up uber porshce gt3 shining in the background but all my career stuff is gone and it only leaves me with start new career :eek: so in desperation i do the intro bmw race again and it asks me to buy a car but i have no slots it says! as i had about 20 cars previously and no slots free.
Top and bottom of it is the game save is now corrupt and ive lost a unknown amount of gaming hours with it and apparently other poeple have had same problem according to ea forums :(,still carnt quite beleive it and deeply annoyed that EA show their utter incompetence again......
Suggest you guys make a backup of your game saves because you wont be happy if it happens to you :(
 
Had shift on my pc and thought it was ok

Bought a 250gb ps3 slim with shift recently and wasnt so impressed, so shocked that is only single player (excluding online). Will get all the trophies then trade in i think.

EDIT: one thing that especially made me laugh was that they almost realised that the cars were undriveable that they made the racing lines visible by default from the menu, first racing game iv played thats done that.
