Need for Speed Time Trial Championship ** Season 2 ** (Multiplatform)

Thanks, time would have been better if it wasn't for mistakes in bus stop and the last bend.
One of my Favorite tracks Spa
Yeah, those two sections are all about getting the right braking point. Also consider if you get a really good run at the corner you may have to brake a little earlier.
My braking point for the bus stop is just at that kink at the curb on the right. Brake hard while dropping to 2nd then let off the brakes (important) as you approach the left turn. Take a bit of curb for the right & accelerate changing up to 3rd as the nose of the car is pointing towards the short straight. For the long left curve try an hold a steady steering position to maximise acceleration for the approach to the final hair pin. You should be in 5th on approach.
The hair pin. Stay left following the racing line. For braking ignore the red zone, use the section of track where rubber has been put down indicating where other cars brake. You want to start braking about a car left in to this area. Once again brake hard then let off the brakes turning as close as you dare to the wall. Wait for nose to clear the wall then power round changing up from 2nd to the finish line.

Broke into the 11's!

Agreed NIKAZ - more tracks would come ahead of new cars for me, even Ferraris! Also I wish they would make it so split times could be saved instead of resetting each time you start a time attack, would make hot lapping a bit better I think.
Cool time danswan. There's an app that records your lap/split times. Works well. One niggle though, it doesn't work in Time Attack mode, only Race.
Go here http://wrecord.com/
You only need to register if you want to upload your times to their website.

Thanks for the settings nikaz. I'm getting 175mph now just after eau rouge and I'm starting to perfect the eau rouge curve, though it's still a bit hit and miss.
Mostly I hit the wall and miss the track.:D

Slightly better time.

Exactly my braking points you mentioned, but for me on a very quick lap i seem to over do it, to eager to better my time.

Cheers Wedge. Greatly appreciated.

We'll continue with the same format for Season 3 Saturday 6pm as that suits the majority.
You OK with maintaining the Website for Season 3?

Edit: Also I'd like to keep the nominations rolling over to Season 3. That way everyone is sure to get a pick.

Yes, yes and yes :D

I've come down from 2:34 (first ever run)

To 2:19. Sadly FRAPS wasn't running and Prt Scr didn't work :(

Just practice anyway, something I can't get too much of :p

My biggest problem at the moment is the opening hill, I just can't judge it right and end up usually going up it sideways.

Just for some progress. Still a long way to go though.

Touch quicker after almost 90min of racing...2.13 still looking likely...I'm taking bets on whether I will reach it before the week is out :p :D

Sorry guys I won't be able to do a vid as my game machine is borked. Keep getting BSOD during the Windows Starting logo. Can only access Safe Mode which won't let me un/reinstall ATI drivers.
BSOD message is something about Atikmpag.sys.
I've tried a ATI driver cleaner in safe mode but that hasn't helped. Everytime I install the driver (9.12 or 10.1) it BSOD on reboot.
Think I'm going to have to reinstall Win 7 unless any of you guys have any ideas before I go through this process.

Edit: Could my GPU (4870x2) be failing?

That sucks nikaz. Couple of longshots. Maybe worth opening up the case and reseating the card. I also read that setting the fan to 100% in ati tools helped some people with this problem, that's if you have or can access ati tools.
Perhaps update the chipset drivers. And maybe load bios defaults.

Also, perhaps a bios update might help.

Oh yeah, slight improvement.
