Need for Speed Time Trial Championship ** Season 2 ** (Multiplatform)

Sorry guys I won't be able to do a vid as my game machine is borked. Keep getting BSOD during the Windows Starting logo. Can only access Safe Mode which won't let me un/reinstall ATI drivers.
BSOD message is something about Atikmpag.sys.
I've tried a ATI driver cleaner in safe mode but that hasn't helped. Everytime I install the driver (9.12 or 10.1) it BSOD on reboot.
Think I'm going to have to reinstall Win 7 unless any of you guys have any ideas before I go through this process.

Edit: Could my GPU (4870x2) be failing?

Sorry to hear that mate, i was looking forward to watching your vid asusual.

Will upload vid later on tonight, its not going to help faster guys but hopefully slower guys might able to pickup some useful points out of it.

I've knocked another seccond off my time, but to get another one (or two) is going to be very difficult.

I've got a video currently uploading of a 2.14.010 lap, will post the link asap :)

Still more to give I reckon, managed to shed 8 seconds since I got it. I'm guessing most of you quicker guys are on Manual shift and non anti lock brakes?

Doing well CK61938;)

I've spent hours and hours and hours just to get 4.2 hundredths of a second faster. I just don't know how these guys do it.

My game machine is back:D
Wasn't my graphics card after all. Bloody audio driver for G35. Went back to using my other headphones after unplugging G35's and all is well. Well so it seems.
I can only think there's a conflict with the HDMI audio on the GPU, how else would the BSOD relate to the GPU.

Uploading a vid of Full Session with a lap time of 2:11.010

Glad to know that its all sorted for you.

Cheers.
Just been watching your vid. You drive this combo almost identically to me. I just use more of the track in some sections, mainly on the exit curbs. You'll see in my vid once it's up. I don't think it will make a lot of difference but I have ABS off btw.
Good driving inam.

Kudos to you Nem. Nice vid.
I've tried that view for all of about 5 minutes & absolutely hated it.
One advantage of that view though is you get too see a clearer view of the cars behaviour. e.g Sparks from bottoming out. What Ride Height are you running at the rear btw? You may need to raise it a little. If you feel it's high enough already you could try stiffening the rear suspension a little.
A little tip about Ride Height. A higher rear creates a faster car in a straight line. I'd recommend NOT exceeding 20 between front & rear though. Basically what's happening is as you generate speed down a straight the Aero forces hit the rear wing thus lowering the rear ride height of the car to match the front, the ideal in this scenario.

Thanks :)

I've always struggled using the in car or bonnet view in any racing game, always used the top down one. But, when we were driving the Scirocco a few weeks back I found I was actually faster with the bonnet view.

Since then I'm back to the top down one, can see the back of the car sliding around and control it easier. :)

I've played around with the tuning setting a load so I'll have to check the heights and see if I can tweak it a bit more.

Looking forward to seeing your lap video now :)
