Need For Speed......

Need For Speed - Porsche 2000 was the last NFS game I really enjoyed :(

Couldn't agree more. I wish they could just make a game with 40+ long, picturesque tracks in various exotic places around the world instead of one open city, give us a crapload of equally exotic cars to play with and top it all off it with beautiful graphics. And of course hire Rom Di Prisco to compose the soundtrack:p Honestly, I'd play it to death.

The glory days of Need for Speed - traditionally a super car racing game through stunning landscapes - were not Underground 1 (Where you drove crap hatchbacks covered in stick on tat through a dark city) :p

I think he meant the glory days of underground the street racing scene :P
1000bhp JDM cars Skylines/Supras are not crap hatchbacks haha

yes I did, none of the modern day NFS games have hit anywhere near the buzz and feel of the Underground series. I've not enjoyed a single NFS game since Underground 2, they've all been so bad.

Regarding the upgrade system:

Both! Apply a body kit or do it part by part. Your car, your choice.

Need for Speed added,

@needforspeed Visual upgrades in package or individual parts??

Read earlier that this will be "always online" and also that it's riddled with EA's social media crapware.

Oh well, I can safely avoid this then.

Well the "excuse" is that it's riddled with social media crap. I mean there seems to be some kind of system where you get rewarded for people "liking" your Facebook pictures?

Seriously EA, i'm not giving you access to my Facebook. Do your own advertising.

Really annoys me when games put in achievements & such for connecting your facebook!

just to add that trailer looks awful.

Was looking forward to this and about to buy my first EA game in years.

Now with the always on social media link in, I'll be skipping it.

I struggle to find a reason why I'd want to go back to a bland city at night setting and all that "Yo, dude! Dat waz an awesome drift!" bullcrap. Feels like a step backwards, especially after experiencing the beautiful maps in Hot Pursuit and Rivals.

NFS will never go back to its true roots because most people seem to find more appeal in modifying a Honda S2000 in an old garage than in blasting through exotic landscapes in a Pagani Huayra:p.

Besides, if the game's going to be full of EA's social malware then I'll definitely pass. I still remember Rivals and its ingenious concept of not having an active pause button.
