Need Help with gfx card!! please

You've got a modular PSU, meaning you should have cables that came with the powersupply, one end of the cable should plug into your PSU, then along that length of cable should be multiple connectors, which should fir that PCI-E power connector you linked to in your first post.

If anyone could link me this cable or give me the name for it that would be great, so i know what im looking for

Cheers x

AgedIdiot Linked to it, if you go to http://www.corsair.com/products/hx450/default.aspx and click on the resources tab, they are all the connects you will have for your PSU, probably still in the box in your flat. If you look on it too, you'll see it should already have PCI-E Graphics Card Cables in, so you shouldn't need the adapter with the two molex connects(the white ones from your first post) on.

As for your motherboard, what one have you got? Only because i'm sure it should have more than 1 SATA connector on, as they usually come in at least pairs. And by the looks of it you have only one PATA connector.

Sorry if all these acronyms get a bit confusing lol.

EDIT: Just found the one you have. You do have 2 SATA connectors on the board, connect the cable to the SATA2_1 connector, rather than SATA2_0 should give you a little bit more room,

thanks a lot again especially for the link. Yeah i do have 2 Sata connectors but there both in use, the other one is connected to the disk drive, i was gonna switch it because that would make enough space. Is that cable necessary for the disk drive im guessing so :P
Yeah it is a bit confusing because i don't know much but thanks for explaining it well =]
Cheers.

Yeah, cable is necessary, it's the data cable, so you'd be a bit stuck without it lol.

Just to add too, your PSU MAY not be powerful enough for that card, as depending on the exact model the minimum requirement is either 450 and 500 watts. Just in case you have issues once you eventually get your card installed. Do you see your mate who said it's just like lego, just if things do get any worse he may be able to look at it for you?

Cheers for all the help , Im pretty sure I know what im doing no. Gonna ring corsair up to check if the power supply is powerful enough, pretty sure it is though. Thanks a lot. and ill let you know how i get on :)

if you remove the sata cable and put the graphics card in, how much clearance is there between the sata socket and the card?
you can try bending the end of your sata cable pretty much to a right angle as cables are flexable luckily :P i have to do that due to my ridiculously placed sata0 socket just so i can put it in. its on the end of the board facing the front of the case. try that, if you havent ordered that cable already
