need Spellchecking for web browser?

I agree with Fire Wizard that if you're running Vista, security isn't half the issue it used to be. I think that the code of Firefox/Opera may well be more inherently secure than IE7, but with IE7 running in Protected Mode then you're very well... umm... protected :p

I guess you can't force anyone to switch, just present them with some facts and allow them to come to their own decision. IE7 is clearly heavily influenced by Fx/Opera and without them we'd probably still be on something like IE6, so whichever way you look at it, the alternative browsers have done good things for the market.

Exactly, use whatever browser you wish, I don't care what browser everyone else uses, cannot understand people's obssession to convert others...
 
Mine was broken too, so I did the following:

Type "about:config" in to the address bar and look for a line called "layout.spellcheck.Default". The value will be set at 1. Change this to 2 and Firefox will now check the spelling of words as they are typed.
