I agree with Fire Wizard that if you're running Vista, security isn't half the issue it used to be. I think that the code of Firefox/Opera may well be more inherently secure than IE7, but with IE7 running in Protected Mode then you're very well... umm... protected 
I guess you can't force anyone to switch, just present them with some facts and allow them to come to their own decision. IE7 is clearly heavily influenced by Fx/Opera and without them we'd probably still be on something like IE6, so whichever way you look at it, the alternative browsers have done good things for the market.
