I've checked the preferences, and it is ticked on. Also Gmail doesn't show it (underlining) (plain old, plain old,not with the gmail addon).
It's the mac version btw.

Oooooooooooooooooooh! It works for the US version, but not the UK.

You may need to update your UK dictionary if that is the case :)

Hmmm, well i dunno, i generally don't use IE, but i thought i'd install it anyway to try and make using IE somewhat less painful when i really have to (because some webmasters can't code their way out of a wet paper box). I didn't enjoy it to say the least, but that could have just been IE! Haha

Erm, no, it's still much slower at rendering than firefox, and vastly slower than Opera. its just even worse at Java ;)

Thats a quick google, but theres much more where that come from. For a product so tightly integrated into an OS it sucks balls.

//Edit: Haha, after reading that FF3 doesn't come out too well actually :p But my point was with Opera anyway (since that's my browser of choice). Opera is the fastest on the market generally speaking :)

Java != JavaScript. One's run by a plugin (which'll be the same or fairly similar in most browsers), and one's run by the browser. JS powers sites like Gmail too, so it's fairly important...

That page is pretty useless, given it's using Firefox 3 alpha 7. More recent tests put Opera and Fx3 much closer (Opera 9.5 doesn't look so good ;)), and certainly a long way in front of IE7. On the other hand IE8 narrows the gap a hell of a lot, so who knows what it'll be like come release time.

paradigm your head is trully in the sand mate

anyone that uses a web browser extensively (for work) will tell you that IE is rubbish, it's slow as hell and pauses a lot (compared to opera and ff)

I do use it "extensively" for work, and I find quite the opposite to be true.

You seem to be getting a lot wrong this evening.

Perhaps a brush up on your knowledge wouldn't go a miss?
