So I went away for christmas, put the bins out before as they were being collected while I was away, came back a few days later and the bins had been emptied and filled up by one of the neighbours. The bin had been out for several days, and it was mostly christmas rubbish, so I decided to let it slide. However, its now happened again, albeit a single bag, and I'm not impressed, as you might imagine.

The question is, what would you do? Now I KNOW that I should go for the "look in the rubbish, figure out who it is and have a quiet word" approach, but I'm really tempted right now to figure out who it is and just dump it back at thier front door.

What would you do GD?

Find out who it is that has used your bin whilst you were away...then go and take a massive dump on their doorstep...that will teach 'em:p

Are they putting rubbish in your bin when it's on your property, or when it's on the street waiting for pickup?

Does the neighbour putting the rubbish in the bin stop you from using the same bin to put rubbish in ??? Are you charged by the Kilo for Rubbish disposal?

How can people be so territorial about, in this case, literally rubbish?

This, if its when waiting for pick up why bother?

I know at my old place on pick up day if we had extra bags everyone just found space in another already put out bin. Never harmed anyone and saved having bags dumped next to the road.

you should realise that this is probably the most important decision in your life..... then do something else as you later find out that nobody cares
