Neighbours using wheelie bin

Does the neighbour putting the rubbish in the bin stop you from using the same bin to put rubbish in ??? Are you charged by the Kilo for Rubbish disposal?

How can people be so territorial about, in this case literally, rubbish?

I think it will only become more common as councils start to become a bit more picky with collections.

We have been told that if a certain type of bin is "contaminated" with waste that should be in a different bin they will NOT pick up that bin for collection and the owner will need to make their own arrangements to clear the waste. As well if the bin is overflowing the council will not pick it up, they won't even pick up that extra bag next to the side of the bin... It has to be in the bin.

If some one was putting stuff in my bin and that resulted in my rubbish not being removed then I would be annoyed. I don;t know if this is the case for the OP but I think this type of "war" between neighbours will only become more common.

You're lucky my "neighbours" steal my wheelie bin on occasion as well as filling it up with crap if I leave it out too long. When I lived in my previous house which is in the same area I went on a commando style night raid and reclaimed every bin with my number & street on it. I ended up with 4 bins.

Has it filled your bin up so you can't place your stuff in? If not, I wouldn't lose sleep over it!

Have you got any more riveting life problems we can help you with?

You dont own the bin as long as its rubbish and gets taken away then whats the problem, if you think you could have filled it then ok but theres always going to be a bin within a few feet on bin day that would have space so not like you dont have anywhere to put the rubbish when its due out.

I heard that a neighbours cat has been walking across his front garden instead of using the path but lets deal with the really serious issues first.

Sorry, I should have been more clear, I'll try again "GD, what would you do, assuming that you don't live at home with your parents and understand that having a bag of rubbish kicking around until the next bin day because yours is full is actually a pain in the arse". Better? What is it with all the "This wouldn't bother me, why does it bother you" responses in GD all the time? Is it just trolling?

Oh, and to the teretorial thing, I thought about defending myself, but you know what? The hell with you. This is my gods damned house, I work ****ING hard to pay for it, everything in it, and the utilities that go with it (Which are a small fortune by the way) so I am fully ****ing entitled to be ****ed off when people **** with it. Don't like it? Don't understand it? Tough! My ****ing house, so **** off if you've nothing useful to say.

The other things - the rubbish is being put in between it being collected and me bringing it in.
In terms of being put in there, I am fairly sure it was empty when I brought it in, so I think they have come onto my property the second time, but I'm not SURE that it was empty so I can't prove it. However, I will be checking when I bring it in from now on. If they are coming onto the property, they will either be dealing with the police, or my foot in place of thier teeth, or both.

I'd say to myself 'well, I won't be leaving the bin out again'

Then continue to not leave the bin out, really not a big deal!!!

it's said a lot, but this really is a tedious first world problem.
