OP. I had an issue a couple of years ago where someone would steal our entire bin. They'd taken 2 or 3 of our bins and we had to keep getting new ones. One binday just before the binmen arrived, I found our bin filled with their rubbish outside their gate so I tipped the lot out and claimed the bin back

They never touched it again after that.

Also just shows how time has changed on this forum. Where I got a bunch of funny suggestions, a lot of this thread is just people stuck in their bedroom who don't understand the importance of getting your rubbish cleared and are just saying 'Man up'.

If we miss the bin collection i usually put the bins in the car and drive around the corner and put them with other bins that are about to be collected or, i take them to the tip.

We only put ours out on the morning of the collection

On a serious note, @ the op, take their binbags out of your bin and go dump them somewhere public, I recommend outside your local council offices. Your neighbour will probably get fined for fly tipping.

Happens to me if you leave it out to long after collection someone will fill it, few months ago went to wheel it in and though seems a bit heavy someone had actually shoved a whole toilet in there! dumped it out and wheeled it back in...true story
