what is set to detect when you are home or away?

It's set to Push Notifications, When no one is Home, activities are People and Person Talking. I've turned off geofencing and use my Nest Thermostat thats not far from it in the entryway, and my nest protects that are on every floor.

Hmm, okay. We use geofencing and it's always worked really well. I seem to recall having issues letting the thermostat decide if we were home or not.
