Netflix is now in the UK

Wow, is £60 the standard for the top sky package these days:eek:?

I would recommend now that you have cancelled, to try unlockus (full year = £32 sub) awell as netflix (year sub = £72) and/or Hulu Plus (full year £61). For £165 a year +net connection, you have access to a colosal amount of media, including top US shows at US pace the day after they have aired in HD or SD.
 
unblock us is all you need for us viewing and the US site is soo much better im actually continuing my subscription and I normally aquire my TV elsewhere :p
 
I just use Stealthy plug in that someone else recommended. Sometimes you have to restart it a few times to get a decent enough proxy, but for a free service, pretty decent.

Has netflix expanded its library yet?

Never heard of Hulu plus so I will take a look. Did have lovefilm but they don't have subtitles which makes it useless for us as my gf has hearing difficulties with the tv.
 
Has anyone heard any news regarding the netflix catalogue getting bigger?

I know they lost a license earlier in the year and quite a lot of films with it but just wondered if anyone knew what direction they were heading in for the future.
 
Well im really happy with netflix its got some nice choices on there.
So far ive watched and rated:
Breaking Bad 5/5 Brilliant series watched them all.
Arrested Develpment 2/5 Quite poor i didnt laugh once.
Nurse Jackie 3/5 Only 2 episodes left to watch, but i do think its pretty good and a bit dark even for a hospital series.
 
Anyone got an easy method to get USA Netflix on an EU Wii?

Looks complicated and risky as you need to mess about flashing a US Shop channel...
 
Is netflix streamed in HD?? Thinking of going to sky and cancelling movies...or threaten to see if they can save me more cash. But I have now got used to watching HD, SD hurts my eyes!

Tried the UK app with an unblockus account?
1. Open Wii Options (round button on home screen).
2. Go to Wii Settings
3. Scroll right and open "Internet"
4. Click "Connection Settings"
5. Open active connection (with red corners around)
6. Click "Change settings"
7. Scroll right to "Auto-Obtain DNS" screen (please DO NOT touch "Auto-Obtain IP Address", scroll right one more time)
8. Select "No" and open "Advanced Settings"
9. Enter our DNS in "Primary DNS" and "Secondary DNS" fields

Primary DNS 208.122.023.022
Secondary DNS 208.122.023.023

10. Click "Confirm"
11. Click "Save"
12. Click "OK"
13. Wait until test is done and return to main screen.
14. (optional, if you don't want to change settings in the computer) Open "Internet Channel" and go to http://check.unblock-us.com/ to link Wii to your account.
