Never Again? Poor Customer Service?

I purchased items in 2008, they no longer work and had to purchase new equipment the other week...after reading SOGA please refund for the replacement.

Depending on the value of the item you bought and it's expected lifetime you may be entitled to a refund of some sort.

For example, if you bought something you might replace every three years like a graphics card, and it failed after one year you might be entitled to two thirds of the purchase price back because you'd used it for a year. Your 2008 example is extreme, but most consumer durables are supposedly worthy of 6 years life, so technically, you might be able to extract 10-16% of the purchase price from the supplier! but you would have to demonstrate the fault (or the potential for the fault) was present in the device when you bought it.

As someone who successfully won a County Court Judgement against OcUK I can assure you, their customer service has not always been fantastic.

In fairness I have found OCUK to be very good when things went wrong, having worked in CS myself the OCUK reps do not have to take abuse or be screamed at down the phone I am sure it happens from time to time but people need to understand that they do not need to tolerate that kind of behaviour.

Anyways it would seem that the logical thing to do is just contact corsair and be done with it in the meantime I'm off for popcorn while I sit down and enjoy the thread. :)

I don't think the guy has a clue,
If he registers with Corsair, and has Skype
he can phone Corsair Direct for free on 001 888 222 4346,
as I did yesterday, and they have express rma'd it for me.
not only that but they upgraded my dominators 4x4's to dominator platinum's 2x8.
well happy,

If you send them to overclockers they have to test the equipment before sending it back , then corsair send to overclockers, then back to the customer.

Sound like the man is angry his psu isn't working and wants to shout at someone.

In all the years I've used overclockers they have been no problems at all, and Ive rma 'd a few bits, and had no problems at all.

I lost the complimentary 3D Mark Advanced card that came when I ordered my PC last year, in March this year I cheekily asked for guidance on how to retrieve my 3D Mark account or if I could get a replacement.. I got a replacement! :) It's only like £15 software but still, great example of OcUKs after-sales and CS department.

I think all Staff should be named and famed, I've only dealt with StigBourne, Bailey and 5UB and they were excellent.
