Never ending dandruff?!

Tried pretty much everything other than steroid gel - only thing that eventually worked was good old Vosene. Smells iffy but is cheap as very cheap chips.

I bought some "Head and Shoulders Intensive Treatment" from ASDA by pure luck and it fixed my dandruff in a few weeks. When the bottle ran out and I bought a different version of Head and Shoulders it came back. The Intensive Treatment one seems to have an ingredient called Selenium Sulphide that does the trick. http://www.nhs.uk/Medicine-Guides/pages/MedicineOverview.aspx?medicine=Selenium sulphide.

I have wondered for years why my dandruff got worse. I mainly used head and shoulders for years with no dandruff issues, then suddenly I got flaking and itching which led to some hair loss. Tried everything, and nothing helped. Now I'm starting to wonder if this all started by accidently buying the wrong type of head and shoulders shampoo and not realising, so I'm definitely going to try the one you mentioned which has that ingredient, thanks. :)

specialist told me to use head and shoulders but had some pretty bad itching going on as well think it was a yeast problem or something ! anyway he said there was something in head and shoulders that made it better than the others (this was late 80s or early 90s iirc)

Head and shoulders strips the skin off so not particularly good. You can also perm hair with it if left on for long enough, read into that what you like.

Coal Tar shampoo proper thick strange smelling stuff, but is pretty good.

Yup T-gel. Damn expensive but works. Not to be confused with t tree.
