Looks like I'll be saving 90p a month and getting a lot more minutes.

Should include tethering since it does currently, also 5000 3 to 3 minutes.

I'm currently on the Ultimate Internet 600 12m which doesn't exist in the new pricing, though with the One plan being there it doesn't need to exist.

Which network is that with please?

Unless I am missing something I can't see it mentioned anywhere!

EDIT: Sorry... just read the title of the thread again, and see that it with '3'.

Barley use 60mins a month, these massive packs for most people are pointless. Those who do use large amounts of minutes, usually have long distance relationships/families and found they use Skype or similar.
The exception is work, but then if you need a phone for work, your work usually sorts that out.

However unlimited data due to my job, long periods doing nothing out and about, is where it's at and tethering means one contract for phone and tablet.

Wow, that is a big saving - I'm currently on the £25/month rolling One Plan, that's 28% cheaper!
Also reminds me why I didn't want a 12 month contract..

Not really I still use my phone for phone calls, it's just the most convenient way IMO.

That wasn't my point, how many minutes do you use? I expect it's no where near 3000 or 5000 minutes a month.

People think more is better. Spend an extra £2 and we will give you an extra few thousand minutes, where in fact most people don't even use there low limit, let lone these silly limits.

TBH I would argue like me most people have the 'one plan' for unlimited data and tethering included, the minutes and the texts mean nothing.
Just nice knowing I never have to worry about it.

This. Minutes on The One plan are really just an extra, you're buying this plan for the data. It also gives an advantage to Three sales staff, they can say to you that you can practically use it as much as you want and not suffer from any bill shock.

My personal experience among people I know is that if you want to call someone then you call them through native phone functionality rather than something like Skype. Skype only comes into play for me when contacting relatives because I use it purely for video calls OR when I/recipient are abroad. So I disagree that most people don't call anymore.

Says they are streamlining their plans so I can't see why they would keep existing customers on plans that no longer exist.

If I had to guess at a reason they might, umm.. maybe because they've got people tied in for 12 months who signed up for a more expensive contract, and they're in it to make money? :p

I am currently on the Sim 600, it ran out about a month ago and I requested my PAC code but forgot all about it.

Can I just go instore on Monday and sign up for this deal and then ask them to port my number over?

I tried calling their CS but I am forever waiting!

Also, I assume if my contract ran out last month I am now on a month by month basis contract? so if I just pay up for my final month and then move over to this new one?

People on HUKD have been ringing and changing to the new deal

You'd want to apply online so you can get cashback via topcashback I have £50 tracked for signing up to Ultimate Internet 600, I hope to switch that to the one plan tomorrow.

Does anybody know what Three are like with sending you out what they call their "Homesignal" box? It doesnt seem as though you actually buy it with three but i would need to be guaranteed one.

I dont have any cell coverage where i live, and therefore rely currently on a Vodafone Suresignal, but these price plans look fantastic.

24 month + phone contract = free
12 month sim only = £50
Anything else = they won't give you one.

Great. I'd go for a 12 month sim only, £50 sounds reasonable. Great plans really. Do Three still have fallback to o2/Orange these days? I cannot imagine there being any Three cell coverage for miles around here. I was last a subscriber to Three around 7-8 years ago, where the phone would usually sit on a fallback network.

Were these people still in 12 month contracts or at the end of their contracts? I've done a very brief on HUKD and haven't found any evidence of the former, though being on Ultime Internet SIM 600, I'd be pleased to be proven wrong!

Must say that my current deal at £15.90 is a great price, let one having The One Plan! Will be giving them a call later, that's for sure...
