New 3 Sim only pricing

It's a bit of a long read, but the answer is likely to be in this thread.

Thanks muon, don't know why HUKD didn't pop-up in my mind!

For those interested, there isn't much in the link, though it appears that there is a risk that TCB may be rejected - it seems that they still have not updated the plans. As you may know, Quidco recently introduced two different membership types - Premium costs £5 per year (comes out of cashback) while Basic is free. While Quidco will give you slightly lower cashback, right now it is the safer choice (and is worth the £2 or so for the decreased risk of failing).

Yep uk is insanely cheap, which isn't a good think IMO. Means less money to pay for indpfastructure. But then they probably just take it as profit and not reinvest.

Hey guys, just got a quick question about the 3 options. I'm currently on a Vodafone contact which only gives me 500mb a month. This was fine when I only had a terrible phone, but I now have a tablet that I tether to it. But I'm fed up of not being able to use YouTube and watch things, so I'm looking at jumping to 3 (my contact ends next month). Looking at the options, what is the difference between the unlimited Internet Sim 200 and the one plan options? The former is cheaper, and is a one month rolling contract, just with less calls and texts, but I could easily survive on the ones it gives. The one plan is more expensive and a 12 month contract.

What advantage is there to the one plan over the other? It seems to be more restrictive given its a 12 month contract, so why would I pay more for it?

With the one plan you get unlimited tethering included in the price.

Other plans don't include tethering however you can get a bolt on. I believe it's £5 a month for 1-2gb of tethering data.

If you're looking to tether to your tablet I'd recommend going for the one plan.

Tethering is a joy, for example my cousins laptop could not connect to his wifi, plugged in the usb cable enabled usb tethering and Bob's your uncle managed to download drivers for his wifi using my connection. Comes handy in many situations. Used tethering on a train journey recently to the iPad again worked a treat.

Quick question - is it just the One Plan that come with tethering included? Was gonna go for the new £12.90 Ultimate Internet 200 plan but with Quidco I could get the £15 12 month One Plan and get enough cashback to cover the cost - thinking Im not interested in 4G til at least another year TBH as I doubt Ill be in a 4G covered area til then...

ps3ud0

Yup it's just the The One plan that allows tethering. All others, you have to buy it as a Add-On.
