I have not seen one 280x which overclocks noticeably better than early 7970's. AMD seems to release decent silicon at the beginning of a products run and then drags out the dog turds once the reviews are done and the hysteria has settled. Now is probably the best time to buy the 280's if you want a good clocker because these are probably the last batches of decent Tahitis before flood of turds is unleashed.
