new Astra website

I don't like the shape and layout of the centre console, other than that the interior looks nice, very decent. Exterior is still Astra like, in other words it's crap. A shame as I have a thing for the Insignia.

Look at that raised coaster for your tea cup where the hand brake should be!
And what's with the steering wheel?

 hate websites that play sound/music when they load, some of us live in shared accommodation and don't pay close attention to our speaker volume..

Don't know that I could get used to the red instrument lighting. Car looks the same as most of the others in it's class to me. But...

I've had a number of Vauxhalls over the years and they've been reliable and economic.

Well, I'd like to see the real thing, not a render please.

If it ooks like that, then cool. I see plenty of them on the roads and although I'll never drive or own one, I'll be happy to see it on the road like that for sure. Looks great for your average car.

The TURBO badge is a bit of a silly idea mind you.

Judgement reserved until I try one. Expectations are low because lets face it the track record is worse than dire.

We use them as pandas Fox and they are reliable as hell.

Nothing flash by a long chalk and there are far better cars on the market as you know but they do the job quite nicely and are used 12hrs + a day sometimes.

Personally I don't mind that, Ok it's and astra and probably will be aweful. But I wouldnt mind seeing one up close and taking a test drive. Wonder what the VXR edition will be like.

Why Fiat has never got a contract to supply Panda Cars illudes me..... :D

As for the OP, I clicked on the link, watched the Astra "drive in" and I closed it again which is a shame as back in the day I had a long line of Vauxhalls yet these days they do nothing for me.

Looks ok from the outside, a bit of fiat bravo from the side profile which isn't a bad thing in my eyes and relatively good front end with the current vauxhall branding. Interior looks miles better than current Vauxhalls. But will have to wait to see. Reviews so far seem to rate it as a huge step up from the old one, but will it be able to rival the focus for class leader?

The latest astra is far from dire (Even mk4+ ...).
