There is no such card as an ATI 6800XT, maybe it was a Geforce 5800xt ?

Any way i have found the temp gauge and i.ve been playing COD2 for 4 hours and the gauges has not gone over 63c so i think its working ok!! thank GOD!! and the fan is working ok too the air flow is going the right way too!

I must have been looking at the wrong bit!
There is the temp gauge on the left! then there is another gauge called the overdrive and it was this one that said it was 527mhz

what is going on here..

the original card was a 6800? or 9600?

the title is going from a 6800 to 9800xt...that got me curious because i obviously thought.. "why!?..." but now its a 9600 to 9800?

strange

LOL i'm sorry! i thought it was a 6800 but i looked at the box this morning and its a 9600..

And it was the Graphix processor status, over drive level that was at 527mhz

I might load COD2 onto my other machine (Barton-M@2400/9800Proflashed to XT) and see how it runs.
His 9800xt has 256Mb ram, so if ** 9800pro has 128Mb ram it wont compare. I had a 9800xt for a short while. Bought was for £88+del in a pricing error which I capitalized on. I was too scared to remove the cooler so I replaced it with a 9800pro, which wasnt so smart cause on ebay I got £200 for it and it was basically brand new and tested, whereas they were retailing at closer to £300.

It does have a temperature sensor, and perhaps lee is reading the upper limit of the scale on the overdrive and not where the marker is?

I wasnt knocking his card, i just wondered how it ran on my old system.
At what settings would i have to run it at to get it running as well as COD/UO on the 9800pro based system, ive heard that with lower spec machines, you have to run it at settings that make it look the same as COD/OU.
Then again the missus is just ordering an indian so maybe i wont bother.
