I didn't have the 98bhp though :p I had the 125 that had a remap to 140 in the last few months

No I didn't pay for the remap, I wouldn't bother if I had to pay, I was fortunate enough to know someone who also had the same car with a bluefin

Carplay is ace (I've got a Pioneer HU with it) especially if, like me, you're more into audiobooks/podcasts/internet radio/spotify than a stored MP3 collection :) Can be a bit buggy depending on the app but works really well most of the time

Car hand over booked for 4th April. It's come round so quickly, probably due to having a baby.

I've only put 2700 miles on the Passat, due to working form home a ton. I have enjoyed it, and my wife really likes it for carting baby stuff about. It's comfortable on my commute when I do travel and has enough poke to not be miserable at overtakes. I don't like the interior, especially the centre console the silver makes no sense and looks rubbish.

At some point the bumper has picked up a little scrape which I'm hoping will polish out before handover or at least be absorbed by the free repair.

I should be getting the new list 1st April and pray this time I can get something I ask for. Brother tells me that because of the new A4 they are pushing a lot of those through so that may be an option. I'm really keen to try the new Superb too.

OK so now the fun part, the new list is in for the car I'll be picking up in October. I've decided to up my budget bit this time round to drive something nicer. The good news is, the list looks strong and allocations are high for the models I've selected. So for my first choice I have short listed these:

New A4 Saloon 2.0 TFSI quattro S line 252 7-speed S tronic £189/month

Q3 2.0TFSI quattro S line plus 180 S tronic £175/month

A5 Sportback 2.0 TDI quattro Black Edition PLUS 190 S tronic £197/month

I'm leaning towards the new A4 saloon, the engine is much better than the other options and the newest. The A5 sport back also looks very nice especially in black edition plus trim, shame there aren't any nicer engines to pick from.

OK sold on the 2016 A4, the interior is impressive.

Also red will be my first choice colour.

A4

/thread

:D

It will certainly be the best car on the scheme to date. The allocation is very high so likely hood of getting one is good. Guess they want to generate some used car stock of a new model. Can't complain at £189/month!

So here's what I've sent over.

1st Choice - New A4 Saloon 2.0 TFSI quattro S line 252 7-speed S tronic
Colour 1 - Tango red, metallic
Colour 2 - Scuba blue, metallic

2nd Choice - A5 Sportback 2.0 TDI quattro Black Edition PLUS 190 S tronic
Colour 1 - Misano red, pearl effect
Colour 2 - Sepang blue, pearl effect

Some of the other cars on the list for those interested.

A6 allroad 3.0 TDI quattro 272 7 sp S troni £259/month
BEETLE COUPE SPORT 2.0 TSI 220 PS 6 speed Manual £123/month
TOUAREG R LINE 3.0 TDI V6 262PS BMT SCR £247/month

Matt,

Very nice - A4 looks interesting.

I also like the look of the A6 and Touareg (beast of a car) for those prices :) - Splash out for 6 months? :)

Hey Mike! This is me splashing out :p I usually hover around the £140/month mark.

If it makes you feel any better, the list of stuff my brother gets access to is sickening.

S6 Avant 4.0 TFSI quattro 7 sp S troni £310....
RS6 Avant Performance 4.0 TFSI quattro 605PS 8 sp tiptronic £431!

Well.. when he is old enough to be upgraded to that kind of horsepower allowance.

Good choice, the A5 would have been total garbage, as a car it predates the previous model A4 let alone the current one. They've been flogging that now thoroughly dead horse since 2007!

The new A4 will be a far better car than the A5.

Yea that's what I figured. The allocation of the A4 is healthy so I'm hopeful I will get one.
